problem with assetto is that for some reason there aren't any 3d trees. but ilya (creator of customs shader patch) is working on actual 3d trees that can be implented into maps

I just setup up my Ubotto Rr3volution for the first time in years. Had to decide between flight or a driving setup. Due to a lack of proper wheel support in NFSUB, flight won. Assetto Corsa is nice but not enough to override DCS World and MSFS. Here's hoping the coming year see's better wheel support in current driving sims. Great consistent vids BTW. gg.

The trees look horrible. We've had these style trees since GTR, GTR2, Rfactor 1, etc like 20 years ago. After 20 years I think its fair to say and I'm entitled to say we need to move on from these paper cutout trees and vegetation. They clash hard with how good the car looks.

Do LODs models, draw cutoffs and boundary boxes not exist in the Assetto engine? I used to mod games a lot back in the day and I remember making a map for I dunno HL or HL2 and I could set the draw distance for each model, past a certain distance the engine would not draw those objects. You could also draw a boundary box where everything outside that box would be invisible to the player. Do these new engines not support something like that? You only need what 20-30 visible per corner? That cant be that taxing on a modern system.
