I can't say for sure how they ended up with such debt, but Parken S/E have bought in different directions such as the fun park Lalandia and a gym before. So they have taken debt to buy those in the past. But they are a club with some of the hightest debt in all of Europe which is speciel for a danish club. FC Copenhagen emerged in 1992 from an amalgamation of two of the best teams in Denmark B1903 and KB. They got the license from KB to play in the best league but almost all players from B1903, they played and won against Bayern in 1991.

So the Company "Parken Sports and Entertainment" consists of the Stadium, The football team, Office Towers (in the stadium corners) and Lalandia (vacation centers) Those assets are worth around £400 M, and they have loans of £155 M. So it's a healthy business, but FM can't differentiate debt. Imagine you owning a house worth 4.000.000 and being told you're poor because you still owe the bank 1.500.000.

If you're visiting other leagues, maybe take a look at Poland? We may not have the best of leagues, but we have f.ex. rivalry Legia Warsaw - Lech Poznan OR you could go for slightly worse teams, that won multiple times in the past, Silesian Derby - Gornik Zabrze and Ruch Chorzow (relegated this year, so it still is in our league in FM24)!!! I'd love to watch any of them!

Good video Not sure where Copenhagen's debt comes from. I'm guessing the Lalandia resorts, which are also owned by Parken Sports and Entertainment (same company that owns FC Copenhagen) and had a tough time during the pandemic. The logo pack (8:50) needs an update. Hillerød's logo is the old HGI one, which they haven't used since the club was rebranded as Hillerød Fodbold in 2009.

I don't understand the keeping onto players you don't need because you have a low % thing. You won't get it higher if you don't sell them, and it's better to do it than let them move on a free after draining your wages. It takes a couple years to turn things around but should be a better way to do things in general.
