Thanks Brett, I have been looking for affordable smart blinds for years now however they all so complicated to install but not this, 2 mins my gosh. Another great video! But are these adaptable to the type of blinds that do not have the wand, but instead have the strings to open and close them?
@euartista3 жыл бұрын
The wand is more expensive than the blind. $100 bucks??? When these companies realize that in order for them to be successful, and by saying success I mean have consumer adherence, they will need to bring their price into more affordable levels. i.e. price it like a wyze cam. Make it 20 or 30 bucks and you see the same growth Wyze experienced.

I checked the price - they're nearly $150 a blind now. The implementation seems really to be missing the mark for that price point - it has a loud stepper motor driver (imagine all of your windows closing at once...), it can't detect the torque on the motor to auto-calibrate, it doesn't seem to do a great job of consistency when your blinds open and shut (which, let's be honest, isn't your bad blinds on this sponsored video) - my guess is you're constantly recalibrating these things until you chuck them. There are sets for closer to $80-90 by competitors that include the solar recharger, granted, they're for the traditional bead blinds. I like the idea here, but this is a hard pass.
