You should've given us the true Super Premier watchalong experience and only showed one of the Top 8 matches, then filled the rest of the video with ads
@zachang833212 сағат бұрын
i will give them some credit here and say top 8 was really really good. top 16 on the other hand.... 4 inconsequential matches in 30 minutes and 40 mins of ads is unbelievable

Watching the Momochi vs Tokido match made me realize just how important your character having weaknesses that you're ok with playing around is, because I would be so tilted with all those step kicks.

Sajam taking off the limiters when chatters get stupid is one of my favorite genres of cinema.

Sajam is such a teacher, the moment 5pm has passed for after school clubs, he’s just down to fight chat. This mf saw someone talking about their ban on Capcoms channel and read out his whole comments for all the chat to hear. If that isn’t teach behaviour, idk what it

One thing to note is that this Super Premier was randomly seeded. It would have been fun seeing the chaos unfold, but instead we got ads

The rant in the first few minutes, was a lot of my experience with this. They'd do like 3 or 4 matches in a row, take an hour break, and then come back to letting us know that 90% of the matches were played or w/e lol. I really felt for some of the NA commentators, having to fill for so long each time.

I'm already tired and watching in bed and I *SWORE* Akutagawa's name was in Japanese but I'd blink to clear my eyes and it was English. Gaslighting Super Premier 2024 is going crazy.

I wonder if Japanese players come to a US major where pools are bigger than 16 people and are similarly thrown for a loop.

I have a question, I don't know if anyone who sees this comment will know the answer. At 35:00 , when Oniki drive rushes into s.HP with bison. What's the ideia behind this move? I understand Bison's s.HP is a good cancel into level 2 or level 3 (as he just did right before), and I understand that moves with good range are good out of fast drive rush chars like Bison because it becomes both far hitting and fast. But what's the plan here? Is he gonna combo or link off of it? Is it hoping for punish counter?

In the Tokido vs Momochi match would an alternative solution to the run step kick pressure be to block it and just accept it/deal with whatever comes after, rather than fearing it so much you run yourself ragged trying to intercept it? Flip the script on it's head a bit and defang the option by letting it rock rather than letting it live rent free in your mind?
@zachang833212 сағат бұрын
this did happen early in the match, momochi did let run stepkick rock opting to blocking it out and returning to neutral after. the problem with letting it rock or blocking it out is that it allowed tokido to disrespect momochi with options that werent run stepkick like sajam said. run>overhead or empty run allowed tokido free space basically because momochi chose the option of blocking it out. the best bet to deal with all of these options is to stop it ahead of time which is what momochi was doing later on.
