21:00 People say that the ending was RNG and it was somewhat with the medkit, BUT Zylus actually saved the game by not voting Rythian by deducing that either Kirsty or Lewis was lying. If they voted out Rythian, Lewis would have won automatically. That was an incredibly smart play from Zylus.

To add to this, Lewis really couldn’t win without Rythian voted out. He has to kill someone after this, I think, but he’s now in a position where no matter who dies it’s almost impossible to win. If he killed Rythian, it automatically becomes Lewis as the main suspect because Kristy is vouched for by the dead Rythian and Zylus has zero suspicion. If he kills Zylus, he has to bank on Kirsty not figuring out its him over Rythian which is the easiest outcome. And if he kills Kirsty, that leaves two people suspect but Zylus seemed to be leaning away from Rythian toward the end. It’s practically a no win scenario on paper, but this is the Yogscast, so logic and reason can get iffy real quick.

You say RDM, but tbh I think it was a very good play from Zylus. He realises that either Kirsty or Lewis are lying about what they put on the fire, making one of those two the traitors. Lewis nearly gets the Rythian vote through which would have won him the game. If Zylus waits and doesn't use the medkit then Lewis kills someone that night - probably Zylus himself, so Zylus takes the 1/3 chance!

Lewis secretly has very high charisma. He mostly uses this to convince everyone he has really low charisma.

The bit that I think gave it away even more is the way he read out the UI label "add waste card" which I think was specific enough for people relatively new to the game that youd only remember it if you could see it in front of you. If you were explaining the game from memory youd be more likely to say "There should be a button to add waste on the side"

He also went into detail about where it was and how to do it and then someone just HAPPENED to add one in while he was explaining. I genuinely thought it was one of those times when the traitor was SO obvious that everyone just pretended to ignore it (like they do in TTT sometimes). Lewis even says "thank you" while everyone is laughing it off.

Let's analyze the mistakes Rythian made here as a good guy in their first game > He had fruits and other food + wasn't hungry, however still took food from the fire anyways > As was said Ad Nauseum, he went to Kirsty's area and foraged there when he was told to stay at the forest > He also crafted boots, which required plants, plants they needed to pass the night test. Past that which was all at the very start, he did kinda alright But he got really paranoid

I don't understand why the "odd mushrooms" force -1 hunger when found food is not auto-consumed... Like, I would assume that the in-game occurrence is that the "odd mushroom" is affecting the character because they ate it, right? Not just that they walked past it or even touched it... Maybe something other than a mushroom would make more sense?

rythian did some huuuuge make up work after that unbelievably sus round 2 and turned it around somehow, i also think lewis saying to him "idk im starting to suspect zylus and kirsty" was soooo obviously him trying to deflect, he should've just kept sus on rythian, should've voted him out in round 2 with zylus and then pinned it on kirsty... but the medkit kill was such bullshit lol i loved it ALSO LEWIS CACKLING EVILLY EVERY TIME HE ADDED WASTE CARDS LMAOOOOO ITS SO OBVIOUS ITS HIM

He accidently hard-cleared Rythian twice (once by making a totem when Rythian and Zylus were together, a second time by lieing about putting a plant when Rythian didn't claim any plants). Those were both big mistakes.

I could swear I've played a board game that's basically just this. I know there's that one where you have to collect water/food/wood and build rafts to escape, with water collection being affected by weather. But I feel like there was another board game even more similar to this game.

It was so obviously NOT Rythian, especially from Zylus's point of view. On day 2 everyone but Lewis ended at the plateau with no totem. Then day 3 Rythian and Zylus immediately went to the forest with Zylus leaving first to find the totem at the plateau. So Rythian was fully accounted for.
