I appreciate that. I'm here for fun and hope others are as well. Why be salty. Let's just enjoy a game we love and get better together. Try some fun stuff along the way.

10:03 yeah, that's why most version I've seen so far of this deck run Urborg Repossession. Best case scenario you can recover a root or a Tivar, worse case, a creature (and therefore trigger roots on the battlefield) I personally would replace Izoni with it, and maybe 1-2 spiders for it based on how much you feel you tend to need recovering roots as opposed to the removal
@AceMTG8 ай бұрын
Good call on the Urborg. When I played had not seen enough of the deck to really get all the pieces I wanted.
@MrThule4 ай бұрын
you need haywire here.. willow is good against burn, but i'd cut few out and few cards from top end of the curve. diabolic intent good idea; never even thought of it. forsaken miners good too if you lean more on the targeting side of card options
@dscelle9 ай бұрын
Interesting deck. Ashlizzlle played Mosswood Dreadknight that also triggers the Insidious Roots. If you get your Roots early, this deck can pop off. But if you don't find the Roots early enough, you may just get ran over by all the decks in the current Aggro BO1 metagame.

@AceMTG9 ай бұрын
Totally agree. No roots and almost a for sure lose. That is why I had to muligan to try to find it and liked the tutor. Would be nice if the deck did not have to rely so heavy on one card.
@sazger9 ай бұрын
Regarding getting the Insidious Roots/Tyver out of your Graveyard, Turn the Earth is a 1 mana/2 mana flashback instant that returns 3 permanents from your graveyard to library.
@AceMTG9 ай бұрын
Good call. Splashing blue might be the answer so you can get them back to your hand. I love how much brewing this one can have.
@sazger9 ай бұрын
I agree on Willow Geist, it is a very strong in some games and can help with that lifegain but sometimes it doesn’t do much. I see in your posted version you took it out? I have about three different versions of the deck now with yours, which is fine as there’s so many ways. The one card I think you are missing is Bloodhound, as this really keeps the chain going as every time a plant comes into play you surveil one and keep cards going in the yard to return
@AceMTG9 ай бұрын
When I tested bloodhound I did not get good results but I guess I should look at it again. I agree with you with this deck and so many angles you can go at it. So fun seeing what everyone does and I wonder if we really will have an answer for best version in a month or so. @@sazger

I’ve seen some iterations of this with Blossoming Tortoise that have done well! I keep trying to make Jund Aggro work with Break Out 😂
@AceMTG9 ай бұрын
Originally I put in the tortoise but then when I saw the spider and how well it synergized with the rest of the deck I just had to add it. Still maybe two tortoise as well. I think the spider was an mvp and four was needed. Plus more budget for those with limited wildcards.
@lenlee149 ай бұрын
@@AceMTG Spider is absolutely key to a deck like this! Also, I’m thinking Abzan Convoke now 😂

when assigning a belt to a deck, i suggest having a graphic to display which shows the rankings of the different belts. not everyone is familiar with it
@AceMTG9 ай бұрын
I do in the outro. It shows all five belts in order of rank and then whatever belt I assign it.

I love Teaching of the Kirin but I don't think it does enough for this deck. I'd rather use creatures that can be unearthed like Ashnod's Harvester for instance. One copy of Urborg Repossession could be nice as well to bring back a creature and the roots.
@AceMTG9 ай бұрын
Urborg Repossession was a big miss. I think two copies would be good. Hurts so bad to mill your roots. Teachings was there for value. I was trying to have some good cards to stabilize if the roots took time but I agree we could do better.

Oh wow. The rex. I can see good against control. I just did not see the synergy while Izoni got cards out the graveyard for the roots and you can sac the tokens for card draw. But it was a top end test and for sure does not need to be here.
