I saw some years ago a scientist hypothesized that it could be one of the reasons why we don’t have seen any civilizations in our galaxy! The universe is an extremely hostile environment. Understandable question. The only undeniable reasoning is that the only way we KNOW for sure life works, is with carbon and oxygen, and nitrogen, and whatever else we use as is. Since after all, the only source we have on life is Earth. I think we will stumble upon other life accidentally, more than anything.

We don't have anything of interest neither in technology, neither in moral grounds, planet itself is the only real treasure we have, even that can be taken away pretty easy by some "unfriendly" visitors.

THEY Couldn't Freaking care less ! *Green Hypocrisy in Full Swing: 16 Million Trees Axed for Wind Farms in Hypocritical Eco-Crusade in Scotland* Scottish National Party (SNP) ministers have admitted to felling close to 16 million trees to make room for wind farms on public land after the Scottish government plans to get all of its power from renewable energy this year. Mairi Gougeon, the Rural Affairs Secretary, conceded that around 15.7 million trees have been cleared since 2000 from areas presently managed by Forestry and Land Scotland (FLS). The figures equate to over 1,700 trees felled daily, in what critics have described as a hypocritical eco-crusade. Despite this, Gougeon insisted on a planning presumption in favour of protecting woodland, expecting wind farm developers to undertake “compensatory planting elsewhere.” However, Scottish Tory MSP Liam Kerr expressed astonishment at the figures, citing worries voiced by “communities all over the country.” The SNP’s target includes replacing existing turbines with even taller and larger ones. Some developers are even proposing turbines up to 850 feet tall, equivalent to more than 60 double-decker buses. In a letter to Mr. Kerr, Ms. Gougeon detailed that around 7,858 hectares of trees had been felled to make way for wind farms, estimating a total of 15.7 million trees.

Scientific rush should be focused on repairing planet Earth's enviroment, not focus on a potential move to planet Mars anytime soon. We need to make Earth more liveable, to end the toxic pollution we have been aiding and abidding over decades without serious focus on measures to reduce or even elimate completely. Today we cry 'climate change', and a need to reduce its impact, when we should be crying for better pollution controls, and the upgrading and rebuilding of our present infrastructure that is long outdated. Indeed, we must aim to reduce the adverse disastrous impacts and effects of continued pollution, and weather pattern changes. Yes, it's all about improving the infrastructure of planet Earth!

1:58:59 black holes aren’t just a hole in the cosmic space time it’s a planet that’s so dense it don’t reflect light that we can see. It’s literally a planet with enormous gravitational mass

I don't think people understand how far away 1000k light years is. That's the equivalent of our sun being the size of a pea and being placed on the ground of the very furthest tip of southern Florida and another pea being placed 300 miles away.

Where are they getting these images from? I accidently erased the night sky so I figured out earth is home base for GOD but the day sky is still intact so there is some huge difference between the sun and stars I wish a cosmologist would explain where they are getting images of the night sky from or maybe someone else can explain it to me thank you have a good day

Are you for real? Did you not watch the whole video? The universe is a freaking jungle! Anything could happen from Gamma ray burst striking this planet, comet or asteroid hitting the Earth, a near by super nova obliterating our solar system, etc., etc. So, what you and other people may call balance is actually an illusion because there is never no guarantee of safety for tomorrow or anytime there on, anything can or could happen! I'll give you two example, 1.) The meteorite or asteroid 65 million years ago that wipeout the dinosaurs and most plant life and 2.) The June 30, 1908 meteorite or asteroid that exploded high up over land at Russia (USSR), flattening and causing destruction on millions of acres of trees, forest and vegetation at Tunguska, Siberia (USSR) and luckily that area was at that time not populated with people, just a vast wilderness. Now, if that asteroid had came a few hours later, it would had struck Europe cities and killed millions of people, now how is that for balance? Let me put it in another simple way, universal chaos or destruction has no specific set schedule time on who, what, why, when, where to lay its destruction upon in this universe, you are either in its path or not, how's that for balance? Oh, I suppose this does not include earthquakes, hurricanes, tornadoes, tsunamis, blizzards, snow storms, heat waves, forest fires, floods, volcano eruptions, mudslides and other natural disasters that kills many, many people, not to mention!
