If I were to make an educated guess I would say that he probably either paid to get boosted to that rank or has mostly played ranked with a stacked team. In either case the results are ussually that you get to rank up quick and easy to diamond + but the downside is that you end up becoming a OTP that got so used to matches going in your favor that the moment you decide to go solo ranked reality hits you that you're not as good as you thought you are and that you actually are proven to have 0 game sense or ability to read the room and tell "ok it's clear that this enemy team is not one I can easily dive into back lane to pick off kills so might be better to switch to something else".

People need to realize that if you’re using a dive dps, YOU CANNOT RELY on supports to heal you 24/7. Learn the health pack locations and be your own healer. If not, then stay back and hold the shoot button with punisher.

I’ve noticed a strange pattern in my games: 1) My team does well and we gain good ground, pushing the vehicle either to the end or almost there. 2) One of my teammates talks trash. 3) We get absolutely steamrolled for some reason. There’s some kind of juju curse in the code that waits until my teammates start getting toxic before casting its hex upon me. There has to be.

If you’re playing a dive flank character, more than likely you’re supposed to sneak up on the enemy and kill their supports, and if you happen to be low on cool downs or dying, you GTFO, and then being in the enemies back line ain’t gonna get you HEALS, neither is trying to hold point as a DIVE HERO
