I used to play this back in 2017-2018, usually it was pretty fun but one memory that sticks to me to this day is the time the vampire and detective (somehow) kept getting the roles and just letting one kill all of the other players

@@bvr_dsr i remember during the same session, once it got to a hide and seek special game mode, i got vampire and i decided to just kill them both and waited for daylight to come as i didn't bother killing the rest of the lobby, once that round ended, inside of the lobby they tried to paint the narrative that i am petty and that im the loser in this case, but over all that was the only horrible instance i had with this game, over all it highly reminds me of death note as you sometimes saw people who wanted to appeal to the vampires who had the convert ability, respect to those who were willing to actually treat the game as a social deduction game and not a meta murder hobo game!

Yo its Sdfuse the guy who worked on VH2 in 2022 This is a very good video and describes VH2's state and gameplay very well. I did try to fix alot of the issues you had brought up in this video. (fixing autoclicker, fixing regrabbing, ext) however some were so deeply rooted in the game's fabrics fixing it ruined the game. For example, when i had fixed regrabbing, so many people in the community got mad at me, and kept begging me to add it back, even after the autoclicker fixes (killing survivors if their CPS exceeded 20) and was a huge factor in VH2's community being split between VH2 and VH2 Remake and the animosity between the 2 games. The toxicity part was something that actually had mostly died out by the time i got to it. Me and my mods dealt with most of the bad actors when they appeared and it was pretty okay (atleast from what i remember). However our own internal politics would end up being the downfall of VH2's revival and the game being mega dead as of right now. (Me being immature, the VH3 team hating me, and manipulation by moderators, ext) Overall this is a great and very well made retrospect on VH2 and its flaws and influence Edit: I removed a note at the end as I had not seen a part of the video and I felt like it was being ignorant

VH2 really was that barely-7/10 experience for me. It could’ve been an 8 or higher back when I played it if the community was even remotely conscious. Funnily enough I remember having a LOT of issues about cosmetic progression more than everything else. I feel like it took centuries to unlock new clothes, and to me that was just abhorrent. Yeah they were still funnily garbage looking clothes to me at the time, but anything was better than plain white sweater, or the epic face jacket regardless of how ironic it is now. Clothing choices really showed how much Twilight and other fan-fic garbage at the time bled into creating a hybrid larper fantasy of it all. Sometimes I wonder if *that* was what caused it. I certainly knew a few sociopaths who were into it, so…

this game was so broken it was so funny😭 there was this survivor item which was the flare gun. And if you aimed it correctly on someone’s head you could kill them instantly vampire or not.. you can say I used this to troll a little.. other than that this game was hella fun if you played with the right people. Most servers I joined didn’t have exploiters or glitchers and honestly that was really lucky. This game was fun but it sucks that it’s dead and was abandoned. It had tons of potential then. But now even remake only has around 30 players.

VH3 is a very good game, improved mechanics that prevent things like auto clicking, teamers, and etc. But honestly I don't think it will ever live up to its predecessor. VH2 just had something special. I think part of that has to be because of the community but also like OP said, the concept was just really fun and even with the repetitive gameplay I feel like I wouldn't get bored of it.

I played this back in the day and I remember that literally every vampire either had diamondskin that made you take more shots to die but you could negate that by just medkit spamming or infect which literally every duo always used. The map shenanigans were also fun like the door spamming in house, classroom door jukes in school, tree hiding in forest, the ceiling parkour in airport and door spamming a bystander and the vampire in a room together in hospital lmao

Back then when there was a glitch where you can bring your character avatars into the lobbies, I would colour myself in all gray or another colour, then sit and camouflage in some corner of the map. It doesn't always work but it's super funny when it does and satisfying when the vampire just ends up searching everwhere for me and wasting his time

I remember playing Vampire Hunters 2 as a kid. It was fun at first but that was very short-lasting period of time before glitch-spamming and toxicity set in beyond a level even remotely tolerable or forgivable. I gave up on it shortly after but the few games I played and had fun still sticks around in my head. It’s a shame to see the game descend into a toxic wreck, but pulling the trigger on it and putting it out of its misery was long overdue. It could’ve died victorious, with glory or honor, but no, it only perished wallowing in shame and a pit of garbage. Some things deserve to be forgotten.

Man, this game bring so much memories, most of them unpleasing but still fun. I made a lot of friends there (they don't play anymore, so i just unfriended them) and enemies as well. I would be one of the glitchers that'd get out of the map or use the gear jump within seconds of the match starting. The school map and the one with a lot of glass windows were my favorite because they were extremely huge out of bounds, and i could easily hide under some debris and wait the entire round there. Of course that didn't work everytime and I've lost in a lot of embarrassing ways like that. I also used to team but both me and my freinds were terrible at the game so we just kept losing. I'd reset everytime i was a vampire because i didn't knew how to dodge properly, had no good abilities and because i absolutely didn't want to get made fun of by some sweaty tryhards. Besides that, it was fun. I'd love to play the game again, with the skill i have now and of course, if i ever get a PC.

VH2 had so much potential up until exploting became so common 9/10 people were using them. I was surprise hear about this for first time, either I was very VERY lucky to only encounter cross team and tiny bit toxically ... I play it around near late 2023. So I think I can confidently say I am blessed is mostly experience only normal encounter. Good to know a list about this, since I only play with friend who we don't even take it serious and screw around being casual. It's sad to har this know, since it was quiet well fun play when nobody glitching but also enjoyable in private server, playing like what it post to really be play for.

There was a rip off version of this game on Roblox for some time. It was genuinely worse with its strafing and dodging because some maps had cobblestones that was fully modeled. Some players found a way to glitch themselves between two stones, and trick the game engine into thinking they’re lower than they actually were for a split second. This turned into a mind game where you could lower your hit box and head hitbox for a split second, potentially making headshots miss if timed correctly.

I just remember playing an infection round on an older version of this game, where everyone was a detective and the vampire could create as many spawn as he wanted. So I played the long game, I sat around, and did nothing as vampire holding my fake gun out. The server eventually went ballistic and killed each other on mass. The last two shooting each other right in front of me, one of them proclaiming that he would protect me. I never pulled that off again, but it was still one of the funniest things I ever witnessed.

Ngl I think you have to remember is in this era/time of Roblox the majority of the player base were particularly a more competitive player base. Majority of the things on roblox that were front page were competitive based and often times most games allowed you to use Roblox’s base movement to its advantage. Swordfighting, clans, actually difficult obbies, at that era of roblox most players KNEW how to glitch, they knew how to abuse roblox base movement, most of us werent actually scared of being competitive. Nowadays gaming has been over saturated with casual players which is the reason why games have become mindless and easy. Think about it; one of the most played things on roblox was straightup a baseplate two teams and linked swords. It didnt have custom movement, it didnt have custom dashes custom attacks, skills. All you had was the classic lunge.
