Unfortunately, Yu-Gi-Oh! has one of the most toxic communities out of all the TCG's. I remember beating this one guy at a YCS and he accused me of cheating, slapped my dice box making dice spill everywhere and threatened to beat people up in the parking lot after they tried to help me pick up my dice. (This dude had to be in his like 30's btw.) I tried to set up some Yu-Gi-Oh! events and get a new community going when I moved but apparently it's well known between all the other TCG's and a lot of vendors that Yu-Gi-Oh! has a pretty bad community..It sucks cuz I miss playing the game, but I don't think I'll ever go back to dealing with toxic ass people like this.

Puppydog Wheeler I had a guy I played at my first regional that was playing Pendulum FTK that was super cocky and was like do you have any disruptions cause I’m gonna FTK this turn. I let him play it through because the guy could’ve been lying so I lose game 1 then win game 2, after this he’s like hmm I’ll probably drop after this round if I lose.... so we are deep into game 3 and he’s taking forever with his plays and calls the judge for effects he doesn’t understand like Fairy Tail Snow banishing Spiritmaster, then makes a big deal with how many cards are in my banished pile claiming that I’m not banishing the full 7 for Snow. So this guy is about to scoop and ends up top decking monster Reborn and gets my monster and wins, he was like damn that has to be one of the best games I’ve played all day >~> While I do think it was pretty hype, the guy was being a total baby the whole time. It’s not all too impressive anyways, guy was playing a damn FTK deck

Old reply, but one time I was accused of "stacking" when I drew the same hand two duels in a row. I was using a Machina deck with a couple of gadgets and stuff. I was playing some degenerate OTK deck, and I was like dang I got the same hand what are the chances? And the other guys like "You staking bro". Then I realized it was the guy who was running the event who said it not my opponent. I simply replies "Yeah man, this Machina turbo was about to go off hard, set two and pass."

Here's a story from devpro, when I played against a Kaiju/snow white/dino deck I made one comment about how people should side deck mask of restrict of going against Kaiju decks or diablos and out of no where my opponent just responds, throughout the whole duel stuff like "Did you just assume my gender?!!!?" Like really, you identify as Kaiju? Lol And they just kept rambling on about being triggered to every move I do. Hah, reminds me of the other day I was using a Harpies I'd thrown together online using the relatively new support (Perfumer etc), and just testing stuff out. I liked the new support and how much floatier the deck was and decided I'd try and give my Harpies more of an anti-meta edge for fun by maindecking 2 anti-spell fragrances to get some spell card pops with hunting ground, make life awkward for the spell counter pendulums everyones giving a go, and make for a good way to further stifle plays with feather storm covering monster effects too. Couple of people complimented my deck and were happy to see something a bit different, then OF COURSE the Sky Striker netdecker I was playing I knew would be a bit of a piece of work as he threw out a sarcastic "gg ez" the second I summoned channeler on my first turn and he saw I wasn't using tier 1/0, then when I flipped Fragrance over on his draw phase there was a good 10 or 20 seconds in his MP1, followed by a "WTF?" then a few more seconds (I'm assuming reading fragrance's text). And that's when the "thats fucking stupid/overpowered" comment came out. Then when I feather stormed Rayes quick effect, there was a "...", followed by another few second. And then he exploded. Went absolutely NUTS. I'm talking full blown all caps pure salt REEEEEE nuts. In the end of a full minute of hurling abuse at me, including sexist and homophobic abuse (centred around suggesting I was a woman or "gay" for playing a Harpie deck, logical people these salty players, right?) he called me a "CUNT" and a "LUCKER" before rage quitting on his turn 1 and the duel's turn 2. But most hilariously he said expressly that Feather storm "should be fucking banned" along with "all hand traps", but especially Feather Storm. Yep, that's right. A Sky Striker player who had copied THAT recipe everyone's using of the archetype wanted the silly harpie deck I'd thrown together to be significantly nerfed... This community, man. XD

So, I'm not really much of a meta player, I play rokket some, and another tier 1.5 deck, but what exactly makes sky striker so good? I played against an AI with that deck once, and I didn't see anything with super high attack or even a great deal of card protection. Most of them went down pretty easily. Maybe the AI was just bad, but I don't know. Even the guy in this video threw out his whole hand and didn't even have a nice board. It seems like the deck would fall really easily to a card like Naturia Beast, or secret village of the spellcasters. Or mystic mine.

Most of my friends are mtg players and they avoid yugioh precisely because of things like kaiju stun and hand traps Magic is Yugioh if combo and control players got exactly what they wanted and that's why its in the state that it's in. Ironically the color pie better expresses philosophy of cards but not necessarily player cause they definitely say I ACT black and red but mostly play some jank aggro because control and combo is too much work. I just want an Enchantment that says players can't cast Planeswalkers or something
