I really need to just sit in front of my monitors and follow a bunch of your clean amp videos. Like ear training for amp tones.

Honestly the compression world seemed like one of those subjects in the guitar world that were just over my head. But this was super helpful to hear and learn about what compression can offer to your tone. I also love the devotions after too, such a good word brother, keep it up! Your tutorials have been so helpful through these last 4 years of playing for my church!

Awesome stuff! I've bought your presets for hx stomp and really appreciate that its one payment for an access to a folder with past and future presets. They sounds great!

I made a patch using the MK IV Lead Channel and just turned down the Lead Drive to 0, Lead Gain 1.8 and it gave a really nice clean tone. Definitely one of my favorite amps in the Helix/Stomp. Can't wait to try this out!

I just found this amp! 😅in my Pos Go and I’m so impressed with my thick clean tones out of my Les Paul! Just did a worship set at a new church and the sound guy said I had the best swells he has ever heard

I have always been analogue pedals to the bone. But now I am thinking about putting a HX Stomp on my board at the end of my chain as a Swiss Army knife. Does anyone find the running everything through the HX Stomp takes away from the signal path and tone of the analogue pedals that run before it?
@Drtydeeds2 жыл бұрын
I too am considering this, almost like trying to get best of both worlds. I really like pedals since I kinda just got back into them after not using them for like 15 years. But the results I hear from guys like JNC are really tasty and the idea of a smaller, lighter, board is really attractive. Wouldn’t feeding the HX Stomp more dense/complex audio information eat into your limited DSP?

I know it’s probably just psychological, but I think an analog preamp in front of the HX improves the “feel” a bit

It's by no means underrated - at least not from my side. I "abused" the real deal for quite some years as a clean pedal platform only (hence wasting the other channels) and it's been most excellent, especially as the tone controls are extremely efficient. So it's been my first grab within the Helix, too. Still using it but when it was released I mainly switched to the Princess (ok, in fact, ATM the Helix is gathering dust and will be up for sale soon).
