The Most Underrated Dunes In Thar Desert | Desert Safari | Thar Desert | Khuri Dunes | Rajasthan

This video is about the Thar desert and the activities involved in it. The Thar Desert is the only desert in India and is located in the state of Rajasthan. The desert has 2 famous dunes called Sam Dunes and Khuri Dunes. Both dunes provide a memorable experience to visitors with various activities like desert safari, desert camping, camel safari, cultural programs, etc. In this video, I talked about the activities I did and my experience of spending the night in the desert camp. In this video I have also talked about how you can plan or book desert camping packages. The dunes I visited are the most underrated dunes in the Thar Desert and they are serene non-commercial dunes.

Hi Wild Indian Rover, First of all very nice video and nicely made keep up this good work !! I am going to Jaisalmer mid of November first time. I am confused over Khuri Sand Dune or Sam Sand dune Over youtube, when I see about Khuri I see cleanliness, natural dunes and quietness. when I see about Sam I see more activities, more people and dunes which are filled up with peoples, Jeeps. I have 2 kids with me ( 9 years old daughter and 4 years son). Can you please suggest me from Kids point of view which place they would prefer Khuri or Sam? personally me and my wife loves quite place and natural beauty.

Thanks much Himanshu for your feedback :) Coming to your point about what to choose. I would suggest you go Khuri as it is very peaceful and away from all the unnecessary crowd, though it's true that Sam has many activities as there are number of camps available, but trust me, as per my experience Khuri is the best place. You can get major activities such as Jeep safari, camel riding, traditional activity in Khuri too. Sam has become dirty and if you want to find cleaner place in Khuri you need to travel far in the desert otherwise you can opt for Khuri.

It will be quite hot around 35 degree Celsius. Yes, I did try but only as a passenger.

Sam has more dunes compared to Khuri. But Khuri is cleaner and has a peaceful environment. Sam is always overcrowded while Khuri is not.

Haan, 7000 jyada hai lekin uske apne fayde hai, jaise ki aapko alag se tent milega and usme saari activities jaise camel safari, desert safari, transport wagera, khana peena sab rahega. Waise saari activities iclude rehti hai aisa package nahi hota jisme aap kam activites kar sako, use liye aapko alag alag desert camping walon se pata karna padega
