I daily drive mine, it's got the 1.6L 16V swap now and that to me is one of the biggest upgrades, it's still light but has better horse power. Mine will go just about anywhere on 35's.

Yeah the stock 1.3 is on the struggle bus. A motor swap is on the list for sure

I don’t have the Samurai, but I have the Gen4 Jimny. In the past I’ve had 2 Gen3. The Gen4 I have now will be the last car I have. I love it to bits! - With the double diff-lockers I’ve added to it it’s a beast off-road!

I enjoyed my samurai when it was bone stock. It surprised me with the stuff that it was able to do. Now with all the modifications I've done to it is much more capable and way too easy for some obstacles. 16V swap with power steering makes it almost modern..

@@Drewsoffroadgarage make sure you find a complete donor. I went through many obstacles just to piece mine together. I also seen that the 2.0 vitaras are the next option to go with.

@@Drewsoffroadgarage there are versions not available in the USA, the long wheelbase version, and a taller tin top with windows along the top, like a Vista cruiser.

Props! I got a JB23 on 29” 2 weeks ago. Can’t wait to lock it. What lockers do you have? Stock axle shafts?

Awesome! I have a Detroit in the rear and it’s welded in the front and yes I’m on stock axle shafts
