The one thing that stood out for me was his understanding of laws of this complicated game and knowing and having the skills to play and push them to the absolute boundaries, Especially in his position of open Side loose forward and as Captain. Would have to be one of the Best International Captains of all time, just about in the same league as Willie John McBride

Richie McCaw is one of the greatest and have that recognition all over the world (not only in SH). I think instead of McCaw should be Thierry Dusatoir. For me he is one of the greatest too (defensively the best - ask Richie), but not many will mention that. Thank you for the video anyway

@@GarryWihongi true, both great players, but surely McCaws record of 148 NZ caps, and over 100 matches as AB Captain sets him apart from other greats of the game, just on those numbers alone. Shelford (22) and Jones (55) test caps are way below McCaws and McCaws 2 RWC Winners medals surely counts hugely.
