got AMS2 a couple of months ago - havn't enjoyed racing as much since Forza Motorsport 2 days. This Game/Sim is fun fun fun

The 1.6.1 formula cars feel much better I’d say it’s a sim but It needs to work out the last few quirks

On Steam there's a demo of AMS 2 in case you aren't sure. And if the price is an issue, wait for a Steam sale. AMS2 and AC (except its brand new Nordschleife DLC) were discounted and you could get AC with DLC under 10€.

@@mutleyeng I have to admit I didn't try the demo. During the Steam sale mentioned in this video I just bought it and some race track DLCs. Btw, what's included in the demo (cars, tracks)?

I would recommend this game if you buy it in sale with some dlc's. There are a lot of dlcs with great content but because of that i think that the base game content is lacking. I am not comparing it with other sims, but i think you can consider this as "the real project cars 3" because it runs on the same engine. Its a fun singleplayer experience but i dont know how the online experience is in this game. Great game and fun to play👍

I like that it has some, let's say quirky cars like the Passat Classic. Very much on the understeering side and while I'm not in a position to judge the realism of AMS in general, that understeer brought back quite some memories :-D I hope they add the Touristenfahrten variant to the Nürburgring DLC. Historic Nord- and Südschleife are interesting because you can compare to the modern Nordschleife.

What is the ffb difference compared to Project Cars 2? Or is it still basically the same game?

It’s quite similar to PC2 (which was fairly similar to PC1). When I drive these games back to back, the FFB is far superior on AMS2, however the underlying physics and behaviour of the cars are unfortunately very similar to PC2

Sure, so I use the rfuktor 5.0.1 FFB file (download it, go to your documents, find the Automobilista 2 folder, copy the existing ffb_custom_settings.txt file name, delete the file, paste the new downloaded file and rename it by pasting the file name from before. Now just switch the FFB type in the in-game settings to custom.) Settings: Gain: 100 Low force boost: 60 FX: 30 Damping: 10 Menu Spring Strenght: whatever you like Hope this works👍

I’d argue that AMS2 is still not a “simulator”. Even years after the initial release, it still doesn’t drive intuitively especially past the limit of grip. It’s such a shame because everything else about this game is excellent. I don’t know whether the developers will ever be able to wrangle the physics engine into driving like iracing, assetto corsa or Rfactor. It still drives like a very nice project cars

So yea there is the issue, you said intuitively.. mean something you can just pick up and drive. My friend you asking for a game. It's simulating speed .. A lot of ppl don't have the actual experience to know what a 50 to 60 MPH corner feels like. Hell most ppl don't know what a 45 mph corner feels like. AMS2 does it nicely, not amazing but pretty damn close to a holy shit moment.

Yeah I feel the same, automobilista 2 still have too much grip, it's nearly impossible to spin the car even with the new f gen 2 mashing full throtle the car corrects itself by just holding the wheel straight

AMS2 is nice until you drive it. OMG it's terrible to have no grip and to be on a permanent slide.
