There’s a song called A Galant Gentleman by We Lost the Sea and they took a very simple chord progression and used it so strongly that now any time I hear anything remotely related to even a little bit of it in like “ITS WE LOST THE SEA 🫵” (Those octave strums set off my we lost the sea radar REALLY hard)

Drummer with a masters in music here, if I can offer something to help, if you put your drum stool up a little higher and sit just a TEENSY bit further back, you should be able to get a lot more leverage behind your double kicks and it should be easier to play as well as help with getting your trigger to detect all of the notes you're playing. Keep crushing it!! I watch your videos to learn for my own projects and you have helped me SO much!!

Easiest route in my experience is to find a sample as a starting point and then edit or EQ it as needed. I’ve found some on splice by searching for 808 drop, sub drop things like that. I’m sure you’ll find free samples out there too. Then if it doesn’t have a kick drum in it, add one and EQ it to make it BEEFY
