I played it for 4 hours straight a few days ago, most fun I’ve had in a long time. I do believe the counters and combos are very skill dependent which I loved it was not easy and the counter windows are very short but my god was it fun. Rey mysterio was absolutely insane

I loved All Stars. It has the same engine as TNA:Impact (2008) and AAA: Heroes Del Ring (2010) The problem BattleGrounds in 2020 had was that it was way too Arcady and over the top, where as All Stars was Arcady but it was a grappling heavy wrestling game For me All Stars is up there with the Goats in WCW/nWo: World Tour WWF No Mercy WWE SmackDown: Shut Your Mouth WWE SmackDown: Here Comes The Pain WWE SmackDown vs Raw 2006 WWE SmackDown vs Raw 2007 They are the greatest wrestling game ever made

I played this game for the first time through a PSP emulator and it was fun. WWE All-Stars gets a lot of flack for being too "unrealistic" but that's what makes it fun😅. Had financial problems never plagued THQ and Midway, we may have gotten a better sequel

It's not a wrestling game, that's why it's poorly received. If you were to buy the next Street Fighter and it was a 2k wrestling game with the cast from Street Fighter it would be received the same way.
