I have perfected the rabbit hole explanation, and I was able to tie a bowline in 2 seconds and yet every f*$#ing time I had to tie it around something, or if the loop was facing a different way than what I was used to, guess what, SHITSHOW, either I had to spin my head like a dumb dumb or I would mess up and take long to figure out what's going on, which you don’t have in every scenario.
I’m in a process where I want to understand knots better, so that I can know what to use and when but also to improvise some new knots maybe, so I started to tie it slowly and in all different scenarios to try and understand what's going on there.
Basically with the same line, we’re creating a loop that will twist under tension on the continuing of itself after you create a loop by creating a bight.
Believe it or not, all of these are concepts reoccur in other knots as well, really understanding this will help you understand other knots!
So I started playing the BOWLINE GAME, I tried to understand it from all perspectives, this was what I came up with.
You can create the choker (the rabbit hole) from any direction you want, start the creation of the bight that will eventually create the loop for the bowline from the same side as the standing end (the tree), warp around the standing end from either side for different bowlines, then come back to the choker (rabbit hole) having the bitter end coming back to itself, meaning they are both on the same side touching each other, pull on the standing end and the choker will choke the bight and the loop in place.
