Yeah, I had a colleague who was repeatedly fired . from what I know at least five times it was probably triple that - because she assaulted the students. Ddin't matter how many times she had to go court and was sentenced for assault of a minor; according to her God told her to harm the children so that was fine and dandy. She often went on about how spoke to her and how she was the annoited one yadda yadda and how beatung children was God's will. Completely unhinged, and very much not at all suitable to teach. It isn't that common to be openly religious here in Sweden. I then moved to another school and worked with a colleague who ticked exactly the same religious boxes as CrayCray Ms Smack'em Hard. Her teenage son SA'd me and she was THRILLED, because then he must be into women and wasn't that awful three letter word beginning with g. Yeah, she was extremely homophobic. So... my view of religious people is a somewhat tainted. I really don't care what anyone thinks or how they live with I cannot condone assaulting children or being happy when someone is SA'd. That's the actions of truly evil people (I am sure I encountered two whackadoodles who also happened to belong to some weird a** cults and don't represent religious people in general).

I'm religious and this is abhorrent and heretical to me. Not Christian but rather Jewish, and in our traditions, you must take accountability and then go humbly to the one you've wronged to ask for forgiveness. This woman has no class. She may be religious, but she has no real relationship with her creator or spirituality in general. It is shallow at best.

As a Christian I’ve never understood some people. We’re supposed to love everyone and withhold judgment yet people use and twist this to defend their own hate. We all judge, we all sin and pretending our group is better and the only correct one is ignorant. I understand the hate we get and it’s up to us to fix that but everyone thinks they’re the exception to that fix.

As a Christian, it’s not my job to call outs/criticize unbelievers, but it is most certainly biblical to call out believers who are not honoring God or for not living in a godly way. Secondly, using “thou shalt not touch the anointed” to justify or defend poor behavior, to defend criticism, is the most biblically illiterate thing one can do. Those verses reference when King David was praising God for protecting the patriarchs (Abraham, Isaac, & Jacob) these verses are not about us, let alone this clown. Please for the love of God, if anyone spouts a verse at you, BE SKEPTICAL. Go read the context. The Bible is not about us, it is the story about God redeeming His people for His glory. I personally apologize to those who were offended by what this woman said and how she misused scripture to gaslight people. That is not a representation of Christ, and it is 100000% okay to be skeptical and fact check stuff like this. Anyway, God Bless and much love to everyone who reads this comment. I hope you’re having a great day ❤

When I was younger I used to go to church Sunday mornings with my parents. Every single time without fail when church was finished-people would book it out of the church and race to the parking lot to be first in line to the traffic light (it was a super busy road). Everyone would be cutting each other off, road raging, honking horns in the church parking lot just to be the first one out so that they could go get breakfast. Each time my mom would always say “all these people going to church and then acting like assholes the minute they step out into the parking lot.” That is what this woman reminds me of 😂

and the worst tippers are the Sunday church goers at that breakfast/lunch/supper after church. It's like all that talk about generosity and having love in your heart, etc goes right out of their head the moment they leave the building. (not all, but my lowest tip average was always Sunday lunch) yet somehow the Christmas season people remember to keep that love and generosity in their hearts at tip better (that or they are just different Christians tipping at Christmas time than on Sunday)

I've been a makeup artist for a decade. The biggest issue with people being unprofessional is that in most states, you're not required to have a license to be a makeup artist. If you were required to go to school to become one, it might deter people who are like this. But that wouldn't solve all of it. This is a lot of clout chasing. I would never do that to a client. (Yes, I am a nail artist and makeup artist.)

Everything the MUA says screams of prosperity gospel, it’s a sect of Christianity that is very much focused on money and “if you believe enough, God will make it happen for you” which leads to situations like this, and in more extreme cases, people refusing medical treatment as “God will heal them” if they pray enough. She’s using it to manipulate as she has been manipulated, I hope she can figure things out before it’s too late

I am a Christian and I’m telling you what- It’s people like this that make me back away from the organization of “Christianity” and just hold my faith within. I love what you have to say about this person- I was raised to never judge based on beliefs…. I truly respect people of all beliefs as long as they are a good person! But, seeing someone blatantly use God as a crutch… and a reason for her to be able to be forgiven for treating another human like they are beneath her…. It’s literally the opposite of how we should be as humans… especially if you are a person of faith. We all make mistakes and decisions that we learn from. Don’t bring Jesus to that party (or business). It truly makes me upset that she’s hiding behind her religion shield instead of apologizing as a business! Messy. But, again, your insight was spot on!

As a Christian, ive always said using God's name in vain is to use Him as an excuse or a cop out. I am so frustrated by lots of Christians who will say "I'm forgiven because of Christ" ,like, that's not how that works. Yes, God may have forgiven you if you have truly repented, but the world still has consequences for actions.

As a Christian, the Bible actually TELLS us to call out other Christians if their words and actions don’t align with Jesus and scripture. What we AREN’T called to do is judge non Christian’s (ironic since that’s what a lot of “Christians” are most known for). All this to say, the idea that she feels like she shouldn’t be judged by other Christians because “God will look down on them” is literally not Biblical at all… and neither is using God or religion as an excuse for bad behavior.

Atlanta native here! i know angelika is from the UK, but in ATL you always need a backup for your stylist if they’re independent. braiders, MUAs and stylists WILL CANCEL for celebrities then be the most god fearing religious folks and it’s the norm. my family’s tattoo artist did one for Millie Bobby Brown and he told me he’d never cancel us for an opportunity and that’s RARE! not surprised the MUA didn’t just ghost and block her at first 🤣

As a UK girlie I may not agree with that convention but you can't deny that local knowledge is local knowledge. ATL natives know what the deal is and will mitigate accordingly. And on some level I can _maybe_ understand it? ATL seems like it's one of the most prosperous and abundant cities outside of the usual suspects like NYC, LA, SF etc for business opportunities. A lot of entrepreneurs, entrepreneurial spirit and celebrity. Especially I think Black celebrity culture as well. So maybe it has it's own ecosystem of cultural or enterprise norms. Like I was listening to either a storytime or something about an LA native who worked with a guy who'd relocated from a Southern state (can't remember state sorry). The dude has a housewarming party and invites all his newer friends and colleagues about a month in - and obviously valued his role as a host cause he set up drinks, snacks, music everything for a cute lil' party. Y'know just classic Southern heartwarming hospitality. Well the night rolls around and almost _nobody_ shows up. Dude is embarrassed, disappointed and angry. What would anyone show such rudeness like that and leave you hanging despite promising they'd come? He couldn't get over the fact that nothing like that had happened to him before. Anyway the storytime girlie was trying to explain that this is a bit of a culture clash/quirk of LA: it might be very rude to ditch plans like that for him, but LA is a unique city filled with sooo many new events/clubs/parties that can be late-announced that people will just frequently change plans to whatever's the most fun for them at the moment. Or maybe even useful as an opportunity, like the MUA girl did in this example. Obvs I'm not saying ALL of LA is like that, it's just that might be more common for some people in some areas there. So yeah I don't know whether sometimes the general social scene / business culture of your city plays a part in phenomenon like this. I feel for this MUA's clients though so bad!

Religion - particularly Christianity, because that’s what I grew up with - is meant to be “don’t judge, forgive easily, apologize for wrongdoing”. What she’s doing is not Christian. You can’t just excuse bad actions with “well God forgave me”. The people you hurt didn’t though. You’re not done. You have to make things right and prove you’re repentant. I hate hate hate HATE this attitude of “well I serve a creator god so I’m going to rise above (thing I did) and all of you are persecuting me.” This is exactly why I don’t enjoy hanging around a lot of Christians today. Too many people think they’re automatically covered no matter what they do or don’t do and too many KEEP DOING THE BAD THING because “oh well God forgave me and that’s all that matters.”

People who use their religion as an excuse to hurt people or let people down are so crazy to me. Because it’s true, you can have faith and still make mistakes and do things wrong. But when you do, you are supposed to repent and take accountability. Not blame the religion. You should lean into your religion to heal and learn from your mistakes, and aspire to do better. I’m a Christian. This lady is crazy. The Bible literally talks about taking accountability and treating others as more important than yourself. I’m only like 5 seconds into her apology and I feel like I’m speaking too soon, but if it was a genuine oopsie (not a huge issue just like oh I misunderstood or we had a difference of opinion or whatever) I could see that making sense. But you can’t literally stab someone in the back and when the police come to arrest you be like “sorry I’m a Christian I only answer to Jesus and he already forgave me.” He saved us FROM sin, not saved us TO sin - like we can just do it now with no consequences. You’re just being a bad person and then using Jesus’s name so that the backlash looks like it’s on him and not on you. He will say depart from me I never knew you.

As a christian, and someone who considers themselves very mature in their faith, I wholeheartedly agree with your view of her being self-serving. It sounds like she’s “glorifying” God, but she’s really misusing scripture to benefit herself. I wound even say it’s a GROSS misuse of scripture, and the bible is so clear about people who use scripture/God for their own benefit. A TRUE christian, and I’m not saying she is/isn’t, would HUMBLY accept their mistakes and wholeheartedly apologize if it’s their fault.

My catholic upbringing taught me to love my neighbor. Anyone who I cross paths with and to not hold grudges or bias towards people who aren't at fault. MEANING; if you are a stranger all the way to my mother- you are asked to forgive when people do things without bad intentions. Some people have a bad day or fall on rough times, you must forgive and help where you can. However if someone stabs you in the back, blatantly harms you on any level- you have full support in pushing them out of your life. You're asked to pray for them and to stay away from them. Someone who's harmed you once may change but it is up to you to fully forgive and allow them into your life. There is nothing saying you HAVE to forgive to the fullest extent. Be kind to everyone, love those who care for you and wish good upon you

Typical poor Christian behavior “I can do wrong and it’s ok for me cause god forgives me” like it’s an ask for forgiveness not permission scenario. She has zero integrity and that’s what she showed everyone at the end of the day. Beating around ten bush with her “answers” for her actions like a politician cause she knows that she’s wrong. It’s a good thing she can “excel in any field” cause she’s ruined her reputation in the makeup industry 😂

As a person of faith, I do believe she used her faith to wash her hands of the situation. Had she said that she was tempted by the celebrity of it all and couldn’t help herself. That she realizes now how completely selfish it was and apologized to the bride and promised viewers that she’d do better and that this was a lesson. I feel like people would be more accepting of her and would appreciate the humility. But instead she used her faith to make herself look good and it just was too obvious to everyone.

I hit the like button and nothing happens 🤷🏻‍♀️ just letting you know As a fellow atheist that was raised catholic, that whole new age Christian nonsense where they call themselves "im a child of god, the god that created the earth" is wild. They act like they follow Jesus but their actions are the furthest from what Jesus told them to do.

As an atheist who was raised in a religious (abusive) household, her behaviour is not uncommon whatsoever. And people being like "as a religious person myself, this is so wrong", very nice and demure and all, but you've probably exhibited similar behaviour without knowing. You dont get this tone deaf out of nowhere. It's learned behaviour.

There is something called righteous judgement which means you’re not judging a person or situation with malicious but looking at the choices being made and saying I don’t agree with them or this situation. Also as a Christian we are taught about choice and accountability meaning we are responsible for our choices and the consequences of those choices. God forgives yes but you have to have a sincere heart and be willing to accept the consequences of your choices and learn from them as to not do that in the future. He is a Just and Merciful God that will help you overcome your downfalls not a genie that wipes away your bad choices.

As a catholic: I find her disingenuous. The only truth she may have spouted, is that yes, I'm here talking about her, and giving my petty opinion (passing judgement) on her when it did not involve me. I was not hurt by her actions, I don't know the bride, but the bride is certainly justified in her opinions and feelings, and they are valid. I also don't know the makeup artist, and I am unlikely to ever use her for a makeup artist. So, that being said this is the only "stone" I'm going to throw at her (despite not being without sin). You don't feel penitent to the actual bride, and that wasn't much of an apology to the bride for your bad behavior. Receiving forgiveness from God, isn't just saying "I'm sorry God", and all is forgiven by everybody else. God may have forgiven you, if you were actually genuine in your attrition, but that's not a pass to the bride forgiving you. In fact, it may just be me, but threatening to go to court, when she didn't say anything that wasn't the truth, and didn't mention your name, sounds like you're not sorry for your actions at all. But I'm not God, only God knows how sorry you are or aren't. It still feels like shitty behavior, and I didn't hear what you are going to do in the future to make better decisions, to make sure it doesn't happen to the next bride. Yes, we fall down, yes, we make mistakes, but the point is to learn from mistakes and to try to do better to not repeat them. And personally, it really irks me when I hear people say well, I have Jesus, and then continue to act in the most selfish ways against other people. And it was Jesus who said, "do unto others as you would do unto me." So, someone acting this way, would act this way with Jesus as well. Also, actions have consequences. Being forgiven doesn't absolve you from those consequences on earth, only the consequences in the here after. So, if your business suffers because of this, because people don't believe you and listen to a bad review, then part of act of attrition is going to be working to get past that. Showing people again they can trust you. If you do that, then the business follows. Good business practices lead to good business endeavors. If you needed to do this, to learn what good business practices are and will follow them moving forward, then good for you, but leave that bride alone. oh, and I almost couldn't believe i heard her spout about good luck in the marriage, like she is the one who was being selfish and behaved badly. I agree with the person who below said, your customer is not an enemy.

Just apologize and admit you screwed up like an adult. A real person who is close to god doesn’t have to say it fifty times in an 8 minute video. Speaking like that just makes her sound unhinged and unable to take accountability for her actions.

Any Christian who studies the Bible, and follows the actual teachings of Jesus (rather than picking and choosing based on what serves them) would know that God does not give you everything you want just because you exist and especially not just because you use Christian buzzwords on social media. Some of the most righteous men that God chose as being instrumental in his plans had lives that you wouldn’t wish on your enemies. But really, the bottom line is this has nothing to do with God 😂

I don't care if god's forgiving or not, or even if he exists, if people do me wrong i'm not forgiving. I'm not gonna live my life based on an ambigious abstract concept.
