It's because of the learned helplessness that's rampant on TikTok. Unless you explicitly tell them what to do and how to find something step by step, they will act like it's not there at all. I see this all the time on manga recommendation TikToks. The poster will put the title in the caption, in the tags, or at the top of the video, and you will still see multiple comments on the video asking for the name of the manga. They won't even check to see if the OP or another commenter has answered the question before asking it. Ppl are just lazy, and if they're not spoon-fed something, then they refuse to do it themselves.

And here's the thing: it's tiktok. It's not like Instagram where someone will take the time to open their Instagram and check the handle to find the OG creator because you can click the handle tagged on screen- no on Tiktok you can surprise: save the video. The caption does not save with the video which is why most people will post the person's handle in the video or verbally/physically show them. Even with reposts and having folders on tiktok- would you want to bother scrolling through all of that or are you scrolling, seeing the video, immediately saving it and moving on?

Also she didn't even make that exact makeup, which isn't that original, she made a different version of it That's not under any copyright law, crediting the inspiration is just common decency, no one's obligated to do so So no, she isn't owed some imaginary amount of money, the people that wanted to see her video looked her up, the people that didn't wouldn't have opened the caption to seek for a tag either, so she didn't lose anything because of the way the credit was made.

sometimes when i giggle at angelika’s videos i think about lily behind the scenes editing these and i give her a mental round of applause
@mel-ur4pd2 ай бұрын
she kept emphasizing "just tag me so i can see the video" when like. why would you get so heated over it then, you obviously wanted to be tagged bc you wanted to gain followers from this like this whole thing is just giving obsessed with getting tiktok likes in a really unhealthy way, time to log off seriously

The girl who is being accused was so incredibly kind and patient. This Hadley girl was so mean and nasty for no reason. She needs to grow tf up and chill. So annoying.

Apparently she is 17 so make sense that she still has some growing up to do 😅

At this point, when someone says they got death threats, I just roll my eyes. It just doesn't give the same meaning anymore

What she wanted was for the girl to actually be a bad person, and she got mad when she wasn't. Not only did she apologize, but she had an honest and legitimate reason why she missed tags and went above and beyond in making amends. That only made the girl angrier. Because out of the 2, the girl hollering for an acknowledgment is actually the bad person.

Okay but I wasn't surprised when it turned out to be a white girl named Hadley who was talking to her like that. I think that's where the race is coming into play here.

Girl I was dealing with a nuclear family member in my household having undiagnosed brain damage at 17 then cried because my friend wore a size smaller pants than me.

The whole thing is ridiculous because glossygurl mentioned the inspiration for the Halloween look! Yeah, she didn’t physically tag Hadley is dead in the description or comments, but she showed your post within her video!

When you said 'do you want her to just cease to exist', yes, that is what they want. There are many people out there who genuinely believe that if you are problematic or hurt anyone ever, you need to be sent to the fringes of society so nobody ever has to see you ever again.

I cannot fathom being so upset over a tag? Literally, she still gave credit. Pretty sure youtubers credit snippets with onscreen credit?

it makes me so mad bc the filler vids she wasn't originally mad at, like this girl was inspired by a makeup look and a tag for every single vid the makeup is in is ACTUALLY INSANE standards. like this girl obviously means well and profusely apologized now the reprimanding is actually insane. i hate ppl like this makes me so angry

Hadley reminds me of one of those people that will never be satisfied no matter what you do. It really grinds my gears when you genuinely meant no harm to someone, apologize, and try to make it right and they still choose to be nasty and condescending. The poor girl came to her personally and apologized in a multitude of ways in an era where a lot of people would love drama and making large scenes. Ms. Hadley is a mean girl period. To be quite honest no shade but the makeup look isn’t something that hasn’t been done before 🤷🏻♀️

She seems to be just projecting her own insecurities of feeling less of a creator which is really her own problem. And it shouldn't matter that much, especially to passive aggressively attack the person after they sincerely apologized. It's not like it's a complete copy, it's goddamn makeup she did herself. I think she may just be jealous and fishing for attention and trying to blow this whole disagreement up for clout, but it's literally just laughable. Also putting an @ in a video instead of a tag is still crediting.
