And at that very moment, Vi's "Q" was still happening (as her fist-lunge will go as far as it has charged, straight-line + no-target), thus her Q hitbox bumped into maokai, right when you "got up". It would happen similarly against galio's or jarvan's dash hitbox, or a large hitbox projectile like nami's wave, maokai's ult roots.

i love your videos. they always make the game look fun and takes me back to the days where i use to actually have fun playing. but i also hate them because after a month of 2 of watching your videos i think to try playing again get 3 games in. They're more exposed to other teammates and interact in a way that any mistake or misjudgment by a teammate can lead to losing a fight. So this exposure is hard to work with and hard to make work smoothly

Man, I only play ARAM because I hate the toxicity of soloq, but i recently fell in love with playing Maokai when I get him. For some reason I feel like he scales so drastically after getting Heartsteel and Fimbulwinter. Then you can just smack unending or spirit visage for mega heals depending on their comp. Its crazy how insanely powerful he gets and lots of people forget how terrifying a good Maokai can be in a team fight. Amazing champ, love my tree man

3:13 Vi's q throws her at her target, making her entire body a hit box for the sake of the ability. Because Maokai's dash makes him land on top of her it causes him to get hit by her no matter what. It's something I've often encountered whenever I play top Vi vs Maokai.
