पाकीज़ा एक ऐतिहासिक फिल्म है। संगीत, गायकी, अदाकारी हर लिहाज से बहुत ही उमदा फिल्म थी। मेरे हिसाब से तो, सभी अवार्ड्स इसी फिल्म को मिलने चाहिए थे।

मैं स्वर्गीय संगीतकार गुलाम मोहम्मदजी के सुरीले संगीत का बडा अभिलाषी हूँ। उनका नाम लेते ही आँखो के सामने फिल्म पाकीजा के सुरीले गाने आते है। लताजी का मन को छूँ लेने वाला स्वर और गुलामजी की जबरदस्त ठेकेवाली धून इन दोनो का स्वर्गीय मिलाप पाकिजा में देखने को मिला जो आज भी मन के आरपार जाता है।

Heartfelt thanks to Late Master Ghulam Mohammed (1903-1968) for making the poetry of the renowned Poet Mirza Ghalib famous by giving them Filmy Tunes. The 1954 Minerva Movietone Banner Classic "MIRZA GHALIB" stands as a witness till this day. Indeed the Music for the songs of PAKEEZAH composed many years later by the Music Mastero proved that the he didn't lose his magical touch of his early days. How unfortunate that he left the world without tasting the success of his Musical Compositions. Really it is sad that Master Ghulam Mohammed left this world almost unnoticed and didn't get the due recognition that he truly deserved. This is sheer Bollywood Saga. 😥😥😠👿 One needs to appreciate the bold step taken by the Character Actor Pran when he refused to accept the award for the best Supporting actor citing injustice that "PAKEEZAH's" Music was far better than BE-IMAN 1972.

You gave half of your program time to film Pakeezah ,no doubt Pakeezah was a land mark but never mentioned some Of his biggest films Like , Parai Aag 1948, Ajeeb Ladki 1952,Kundan 1955, Sheesha 1952,Hanste Aansoo 1950,and many more .

Not only Pakeeza Shama was also An Excellent movie from songs point of view which were sung by Greatest female singer Suman Kalyanpurji. A big Question! Why the song Gir gayi re more maathe ki Bindiya (A Milestone composition of Gulaam Sahab)sung by Sumanji was not kept in Pakeeza?

Film Fare awards are not reliable so I don't consider them as prestigious. So many times they gave awards to those who didn't deserve it. For example Shankar Jaikishan got the award instead of Ghulam Mohammed the music director of Pakizah. They also did injustice with Dharmendra. Actually Film Fare awards are sold and those pay higher price get the award after nominations.

गुलाम मोहम्मद बीमार हो गए थे इसी वजह से नौशाद साहब ने उनकी उनकी संगीत निर्देशन में सहायता की थी.फिल्म पाकीजा एक गीत ठाड़े रहियो किसी पुरानी फिल्म में भी था.

What a sad saga of a great musical genius who lived a life of disappointment and died a pauper. The music of Pakeezah seeped in Indian classical music is one of the most beautiful music every created by a genius who remained unrecognised and didn’t live to see his greatest accomplishment. His life is a stuff of movies hope someday someone makes a movie based on his tragic life. The music of Pakeezah has with stood the test of time and still remains as fresh as ever. Chalte Chalte remains the best picutrised Mujra Song till date. Thank you for a heartfelt tribute to a great musician. May he RIP.

Before the release of Pakeezah, one of the magazines, published from Delhi, in its review of the film had written, "the music of the film will be a big reason for its failure". Has a critic been more off-base than this. The film was a big success and the reason for its success was the MUSIC.
