The Most Useful Knot You’ll Ever Learn - Truckers Hitch

The Truckers hitch is the knot next in line for me when I am setting up a ridgeline. It allows me to tighten the line as much as I want and lock it in place. With this ridgeline secured, I know have a solid support to attach a tarp to. If done correctly, a truckers hitch can be released in seconds so you can quickly pack up your shelter and be on your way.
