You can insta-mine stone with just a tiny haste 1 beacon... ..using a gold pick. I've offered unbreakable gold picks as an admin shop item on my servers. These picks are great for clearing the nether too, and are balanced by the fact that they don't do harder blocks like ores.

Kills with rockets from crossbows don't trigger any effect that is triggered by a player killing a mob, including the spawning of exp orbs (unless you've damaged them with another held item or lit TnT before hitting them with the rocket). It's why the pigmen don't become hostile, the game treats the rocket explosion as an environmental damage source.

It only goes for direct attacks, if you were to hit the pillager with a flame bow and the fire effect kills it, you don't get it, same with flint and steel.. If you hit it with a arrow I think you do. So if you hit it with the firework it would,but if the fireworks blast radius kills it shouldnt

An easy trick I used for them when I didn't have any lava with me is killing all the regular pillagers and then killing the banner one with his own reflected arrows with your shield. You can also move around when killing them so they shoot the leader

If you look on the wiki it shows that the farmer will only work at certain hours of the day. As for how many crops it farms specifically and what causes it to go and harvest / replant a crop, I wouldn't know.

They are most efficient in regards to the gunpowder use per flight distance. I would assume level 3 rockets are more efficient when you look at paper per distance or distance per inventory space. In my personal opinion, powder and paper are infinite with a decent farm, while inventory space is limited, so I use level 3 as well.

FYI, When parrots were first introduced into Minecraft (either by snapshot or full release, I can't remember now), one used to have to use cookies to feed/breed them. Nearly immediately after they found out that chocolate is actually harmful to parrots. So yes, you're poisoning the parrots but giving them cookies.

From what I have seen there is currently a bug in 1.14.3 that causes dispensers dispensing bonemeal on a crop/sappling to continue using bonemeal even after it reaches final growth, and continues even if the plant is removed, making the only fix be to turn the dispenser off.

Falling through a single water block is no longer a reliable way to prevent fall damage. I built a drop shaft in 1.14.4, and after using it successfully several times without a problem, I went down it again and died instantly upon reaching the bottom. So I put another water source block on top of the original one, which seemed to fix the problem, but then one time I used it and suffered a small amount of fall damage.

To try and help Minecraft is very CPU based, that might help, maybe look into if your computer is actually using the GPU instead of cpu graphics too, check if there is any FPS cap, and check F3 to help debug, learn what F3 does if you don’t know that should help optimize things

You can test this, but I’m pretty sure with the crops growing faster actually depends on how much crop land is around it in a 3x3, more is better and if it’s hydrated it’s better. But if the same crop is diagonal or not in a row in that 3x3 area, there is a half growth speed deduction.

With regards to the parrot poison effect. Cookies were the way to breed parrots in MC, but chocolate is actually poisonous to real parrots. When Minecraft found out, they changed the breeding of parrots and I assume they added the poison effect for the same reason.

another quirky thing with sweeping edge is that if you have smite on your sword, the sweeping damage uses the mob you target to multiply the damage rather than calculating it individually for each mob you hit with the sweep attack. So if you attack a zombie but the sweep hits a creeper and you have smite V, then the creeper will actually take double damage but likewise if you attack a creeper and the sweep hits a zombie, then the zombie will not get the smite applied it will just take the normal amount of damage

Epiks If you one shot a pig man they _won't_ trigger the remaining ones! On a local game I modded my diamond sword to do more damage and found this out by accident. If you can indeed one shot with a Power V bow that would be fantastic!

I always chop a spiral staircase into the tree. I really don't think that's much slower, if it's any slower at all. You can still mine continuously if you do this, however, you don't have to clear out any leaves or wait for the ender pearl to land.

About the lava thing at the beginning, it's actually only partly true. The way you did it, fine, but if you use lava that's 2 blocks high and fall into that, it *will*, in fact, prevent falling damage, too.

#mythbusting Redo the Water stream over ice test with undead mobs, they sink while living mobs float and Creepers are living mobs (as are witches and animals). Undead mobs sinking actually makes for an okay, but clunky (they sink slow), sorter for generic hostile mob farms. Old school water elevator the living mobs upwards and have the undead sink to a different kill area. :)

The parrot dying from cookie was originally the way to make it your pet, someone pointed out that it can kill parrots so Minecraft changed that and added that parrots die with cookies
