Fun fact: Shorekeeper's signature was changed in the beta to be bad on Verina. Camellya's signature was also changed to be worse on anyone other than her. They purposely go out of the way to make them niche.

I don't really agree with that. The pattern is plain attack (Yinlin), skill damage (Jinhsi, Changli, Carlotta), and liberation damage (Xinagli Yao) are more useful general buffs for characters and thus make more flexible weapons. All of the bad weapons either buff basic attack (Camellya, Zhezhi) or heavy attack (Jiyan, Roccia) which are damage types that a lot of characters don't really do. Shorekeeper's is just a general outlier as a support weapon.

They cooked Stringmaster, saw it was the best weapon in the game, and decided to not powercreep everything but focus on extremely custom-made weapons.

​@@LordZedz Not a single broadblade user does any considerable Skill damage, even for S1 Jiyan its 4% damage contribution out of the 100%, the rest is his heavy atk. Just like not a single pistol user does Skill damage, hence why Carlotta's signature is also bad. So Jinhsi signature, is in fact just as worthless as Jiyan's signature. They will never make a character, who can optimally use another's signature. They learned from Stringmaster, and it will never happen again. The only truly worthless signature is ofc Camellya signature, the rest is just simply poor value. Just pull your fav's signature for Broad and Gauntl, get stringmaster, and simply stop pulling signatures, as thats going to be enough. And wait for them to make another stringmaster on another weapon type.

Tier-list logic is self contradictory. Shorekeeper weapon is the only one that gets beaten by a 4star. It should be in a tier of its own. Thus C tier. The weapons that are at least BIS for their banner character should be B tier.

I went all in on current Jinhsi weapon just for variation. I got it r5, but now I have r2 5* broad blade and no Jinhsi 😁 I deliberately skipped Shorekeeper's sig because I had variation. Now concerto wise variation is way better than her signature. Also variation is insanely good on Baizhi. I don't have Verina, so can't comment about her.

blazing brillance is good on sanhua because it amplifies the damage of her glaciers by a lot, it rivals her ultimate even, the downside is that sanhua is a char made to be easy to use and fast to switch out and use her outro, a weapon like emerald fits this playstyle way better because although you strip 20% of sanhua personal damage away, you put your DPS on the field sooner. (i had sanhua as my main DPS until cammelya came to the game, and i actually pulled changli sword just for my sanhua)

This should be sectioned on character types, because a strong weapon for a hypercarry is way more important than for a subdps or support. That's why atm even though Stringmaster is more universal the only hypercarry with a rectifier is Encore. Ages of harvest is more important since we have Jiyan and Jinshi there. Same about swords where we have camellya, changli, rover that do substantial damage.

He goes them on order, and I think that's fine, easy to follow, as there isn't that many characters in the game and you generally can get the idea. Also there's like only 2 support weapons there, all others are carry weapons so I don't think that would be that much different anyway :D And Sub-DPS fare usually well with concerto/ER 4 stars for faster rotations or the standard banner one or one which hyper carries use in other teams.

Correction. Shorekeeper needs 250% energy regen to grant all party members 25% crit dmg increase during Supernal Stellarealm. Variation is cheaper than Stellar Symphony, but Stellar Symphony provides 25% more energy regen and a 14% attk increase for all party members. Energy Regen could get tight depending on your build, which is why I see some value in Stellar Symphony.

The thing with shorekeepers weapon, is not just variation being so good, but also her S1 and S2 are extremely good, so you’d be better off spending on those vs her weapon. For those who don’t know, SK S2 give a 40% atk boost!

I pulled for every limited weapon because well it's guaranteed, I will only think of the DPS value if it wasn't guaranteed to be given to me. But so far. The only 5* limiteds I don't have - Blazing Brilliance - Last Dance - Tragicomedy - Age of Harvest (which I am pulling right now) And that's me just farming for Asterites, one thing I regret is not having to pull Overture for my Sanhua, but she has Emerald of Genesis so no biggie. Sidenote: I have Two EoGs so I gave one to rover and I gave one to my favorite Glacio "DPS" Sanhua.

I have decided to get me a Phoebe if she's a DPS. If her Signature Weapon is universally good I might try to get it, if not I have two options: - Try my luck in getting the default 5 star Rectifier; - The new "Waltz in Masquerade" Rectifier of 2.0 craftable, which if word "on the street" is to be believed, will work very well with Phoebe; its DoT effect can be easily boosted too since it can be refined much easier. I must be very careful with my pulls however, because my long term target is Phrolova (she's totally going to be playable guys) and I'm going balls in on her (erm..) - potential copies, sig weapon, everything. But I'm getting bored saving all the time so until that goal arrives Priestess from Goblin Slayer should be a good unit for my account.

I doubt Phoebe's signature is universal. Probably more like a stats stick. Stringmaster won't be beaten, but Stringmaster also is the ugliest weapon in the game, and in no world would Phoebe wield such a weird weapon. So to me, it's more of a "do you care about design?" thing

Phoebe's weapon will probably be in C or B tier. We know she's Spectro from the story, and will be Spectro Frazzle using the new Spectro set. So, her signature weapon will most likely scale Spectro Frazzle damage. It will probably be as specific as Zhezhi's, and if it turns out to be a Rectifier, she might also get good use out of Stringmaster. I can't really imagine her using a different weapon type though. As for Brant, I'm not sure about the alternative weapons for him, but probably ER main stat. His dedicated Sonata set will be the Tidebreaking Courage for obvious reasons, and since it's effect is contingent on 250% ER, he needs ER weapon. He probably uses a sword or pistols, so his only alternatives would be 4 Star weapons. I don't know how specific his weapon will be, or what passive it will have, but it would probably rank a bit higher than Phoebe's on account of not having any good alternatives.

17:30 honestly that argument could be said about every 5 star weapon if you think about building around a weapon, but honestly for the long run I'd rather just have my crit dmg weapons with big crit dmg even if it takes me longer to build the crit rate on echoes bc in the long run it will mean more dmg on my characters, with crit dmg weapons you get around 26% more crit damage than your average crit rate weapon on a built character, the whole ''easier to build around'' argument is pretty dull if you think about the long run, just keep grinding those echoes

While I agree Shorekeeper's weapon is not that amazing I think it is likely to have the longest lifetime use case. You will be using that weapon for years while many of these other weapons may fall to the wayside earlier. It also does have the benefit of buffing multiple characters at once. This is noticeable when you rely on 2 dps to do damage. It will buff almost every dps you will pull for years regardless of the weapons they will be using. In addition to this some events require you to use multiple teams that do not allow weapon swapping like Pincer Maneuver. It is absolutely better than all the other C rank weapons on this list.

Very helpful, Saint! Could you make a video guide on Rover? So far I haven't really found a use for him because I heard his damage isn't that great even with the new spectro gear. So that tells me he is either a sub dps, or like what I've seen from some of your videos, he can be used as a Healer with his sixth sequence node. But one thing that can be confusing for new players as well is how to even go about getting more copies of him (or her). Just a thought!

Sub-DPS's don't really need their weapon, lower value usually. However, Stringmaster differs massively in that it's a huge upgrade for Sub-DPS's and DPS Rectifier Users.

Small point against XLY's sig is that it doesn't necessarily buff every character. Roccia's lib does heavy attack damage, for example. Though that will most likely be a point against all sigs(excluding Yinlin's) because newer kits seem to be more niche in their damage types as time goes on.

Stellar symphony needs justice it's extra 14% attack, even with perfect echo stats and not being lazy, any extra buff is still a boost. Support weapons will go a long way in these types of games

That buff being only accessible for Shorekeeper and Baizhi at the moment. If you have a Variation above Rank 1, it's more of a downgrade for Verina. Also the concerto being locked behind Liberation instead of Skill makes it less accessible for Overworld or any content where Energy doesn't reset.

I don't think pulling for cd main stats weapon is that good, it's only going to make your character hard to build(my 70/309 Carlotta is an example, to make it little optimal i have s1rn...so i can run shorekeeper somewhere else) if you get tooo lucky with rolls then it's doable otherwise go always for cr main stats weapon

So I'm gonna pull for Changli's weapon next time, thanks for the explanation Buddy. Or should I just pull for another Emerald of Genesis? I have to use Rover and Changli simultanously sometimes during some events because of Element restricitions

Stringmaster is my biggest regret. I pulled for it on the rerun but ran out of time as an F2P and didnt get it.

I like aesthetic, so I’ve just gotten every signature of every five star I have along with r5 EoG for my Danjin. I just don’t like seeing my character with a weapon that doesn’t match their color palette.😅
