Thanks for pulling this together, it's a unique helmet and most sellers haven't bothered demonstrating its features! I need to get my hands on one tbh, it intrigues me as a concept, in my mind it would be useful if you're going to fly somewhere and hire a bike as it will pack down a bit more compact than a regular full face helmet.

So practical to buy a helmet with the pin lock already fitted. I love this helmet. Comfortable. Excellent field of vision. Very low wind noise. A little heavier than a normal road biased helmet.

Just opened the box this evening and still have to try it on the road. My first impression, this helmet is heavy, especially, .... hm, how to describe, .... let's say top heavy. and very tight around the ears. Material and workmanship feels solid. I will take it out tomorrow. Greetings from Canada

I bought this helmet based in part on this review, you forgot to mention how cheaply they are made. On mine, the vent switches on the dome fell off as well as the rear vent covers are gone. My liner fasteners don't stay in, and the chin strap is out of position (too far back) requiring one to let all the length out, this is a $100 helmet at best. This is my 4th and last Nolan.

Sad to hear it. :-( My Nolan N40 Full is 5 years old and has no problem at all. The lining was changed for a new after 3,5 years. Two friends of mine have already the N70-2X, and they have no problems at all.

No offense but you must have a really huge neck.. Maybe you are a bit on the overweight side? And how hard are you flipping these LITTLE PLASTIC switches? or are you just throwing your helmet around when not in use? I'm not trying to be rude, just wondering if there any fault lies within you and not the helmet

@@joeygunzilla6878 None taken :-) I'm 6' 1" 220 lbs and reasonably fit. My Nolan 104 fits beautifully, My Nolan N44 fits perfectly, I have had no trouble with this company until now. The little plastic vent covers attachment tabs are 0.3mm thick and 0.7mm wide they come off easily, and the switches were off out of the box, I could have reattached them with gorilla glue but why would I want to repair a brand new $350 helmet and risk damaging it further. I suspect that the accountants got over-involved with the production process and cut every corner that they could to keep the cost down. This is NOT a real adventure helmet, it's too fragile and delicate to be anything other than "Poser Gear." It has since been returned to the dealer under some mild protest on their part, but I'm happily shed of it nonetheless. I replaced it with a Klim Krios with Krios Sena 10u com unit and that helmet is pure heaven to wear, it's like it was custom made. I appreciate and thank you for your response and teeing me up to further explain my opinion of this product in order to help prevent others from being taken in by this unbelievably bad purchase.

@@HartPhotoAndVideo thanks for the reply! And geeze.. I checked my tracking number and my helmet is currently in U.S. customs. You've officially given me pre-emptive buyers remorse LoL! I tried buying this helmet locally and unfortunately no one anywhere near me carries it. The helmet is being imported to New Jersey, USA from the Netherlands. I'm really hoping I don't come across any issues since full refund is probably not likely and will most likely take a ridiculous amount of time.

If I get one, yes. As far as I know, the only difference is the shild on the top.

n70-2Gt looks exactly as N44, except for the top vents. there are some downsides for that big visor. at the first opened position the helmet shakes at +60km/h. it is a little heavy when open but at the same time it can be useful if you don't have a peak, i've just put a black sticker on the lower part of the visor and I can block the sun if it's in front of me. for city rides in the summer you can take it off, the dropdown sunglasses are big enough to protect your eyes.

I find this helmet in the expensive side and I was expecting more of it. In the same segment what other options do you think are best? or this is the best in their segment?

Klim krios is closest equivalent and has less features but cost over $ 700 USD this helmet is a very, very good value for ADV type of helmet. Price is around 275-350 USD as of July 2019

Not very much, but the GT doesn't come with a peak and has a slighty different chin guard and visor.

hello, I bought this helmet, after using a n44 and a n44evo, what a disappointment, I have a base africa twin, impossible to roll more than 40kmh, opening the transparent bubble in its highest position, it generates a deafening noise (I would believe in a Western, you see the sound of the wind ...). Nolan gave me an answer, very political, "we are not aware," in short, do not worry! I said that with my remaining 2 n44, no problem, except from 110 kmh but it's normal. The problem comes from the space between the helmet and the bubble, I tried several times by closing in the center between the aerators and on the side, to reduce the problem. In 1 month I also have the solar visor which descends with difficulty (I confirm). I confirm the squeaks (which I also on n44 and n44 evo), so in 3 years, Nolan did not correct the problem, it shows enough seriousness of the department Research and Dev: Overall poor quality ... Anyway Nolan did not do the job, ultra disappointed.

Its not a question of Helmet, no any Helmet are quiet, but same motorbike same windshield, N44 doesnt do this sound, the n70.2 do this anormal sound

Not much. The X have the beak. The GT have larger visor that covers the chin section. The helmets are the same except for styling
