@@triscuitrotsef1799 I agree we are better than a lot of countries, however there is still room for improvement. I personally do not like how ppl say “just leave” when they know it’s not that easy. I’m established here. I have family here. I’m only fluent in one language, like plenty of ppl in the states. But back to the point, I think it’s great to appreciate how far we’ve come but that’s not an excuse to become complacent. It’s then that we’ll start moving backwards. It’s like saying “I have a B in this subject but this other student has an F, but at least i’m not them. I don’t need to improve anymore”.

I love your videos, all of them. I have been to prison in the federal system. One question we always had while I was in, was What happens to the prisoners if a war were to break out on American soil. I have herd alot of possibilities, non of which were very nice, but made sense I would love to see informatics do a video about that..

Just a very small correction in the meaning of “military police”. In Brazil every state of the federation has two police forces: the Polícia civil (civil police) and the Polícia militar (military police). The civil police is responsible by investigate crimes, do some types of operations again gangs an organize crime and is responsible to conduct some types of identification and documentation programs. The military police is responsible by patrol the streets, go check calls for help, combat crime in a direct way and respond to riots and other operations that require more extensive force. If compared to most of the USA, the Brazilian military police, is like the regular state an district polices forces and the civil police is like an investigation department. The USA military police would be like army police in Brazil; that is a totally different organization then the Brazilian common military police.

For Labor Day weekend we went on a trip and visited the Montana state prison where there was a riot in 1959. The nation Guard used a Bazooka to convince the leaders of the riot to surrender. The damage from the bazooka is still visible on the jail block tower.

When I go to some sanctuaries I see a prison just out of Melbourne Victoria Australia and one time three prisoners escaped they were on the run for three days until they was caught.

@Joseph Bleifus well, as we have seen that treating humans like animals in prison ACTUALLY make it more harder and raising the re offending chance unlike norway which has a tv a bed a fridge a garden and that's why norway has a -40% re offending rate while the US has a 47% re offending rate

I'm surprised that the Strangeways Prison Riot in Manchester, England in April of 1990 didn't make the list. It is widely considered to be the worst prison riot in both Europe and in Great Britain during the late 20th century. My assumption is that because only one inmate and one corrections officer died it wasn't gruesome enough for the list.
