Living conditions in prisons can be extremely harsh, but in this particular prison, the prisoners had taken enough punishment from the guards and started an organized riot that would change things forever and take years to try and make amends. Today's video we are looking at the crazy Attica prison riots and how the event has had a ripple effect on prison systems ever since.

I was around 4 years old at the time of these riots. Personally, I think the entire prison system must be held accountable for their wrong doings! Even if ot means stripping those officers of their pay and pensions, and do prison time, to let them know the harsh treatments those prisoners received!!!

The conditions were bad for both, however, the guards were held accountable for watching the prisoners besides the basics. Thet had too much power and abused their wards.

@@damion1121 seems a big issue especially in America. So many people that have power and control issues and feel the need to dominate others are drawn to being cops in America. In most other countries they would have been screened out in the recruitment process, but even people with long criminal records including assault and domestic abuse have been allowed to become police officers in America. Thankfully some areas have tried to clean up their act, with L.A. for example following the leed of Australia and the UK to require all officers have a university degree or sufficient military rank and training before even applying and to pass psychological testing before being accepted for training.

My parents have worked at a max security prison for about 10 years and ive heard of off camera beatings and things like that. If you got legs they'll hire you and plenty of guards need to be locked up with the inmates. They like to take out their anger on the inmates as they basically dont even see them as human anymore

The problem is the law and punishment. They should have used the old saying: eye for an eye, teeth for a teeth. If proven guilty they should be punished by the bad things they did. I’m 100% for police. But this is terrible. This is a true event of police brutality. Events like this is what should be considered police brutality. Use of rounds that cause unfixable damage to the body. Tragedies like Breanna Taylor is just that A TRAGEDY. This... this.. is BRUTALITY. And this deserves punishment.
