He gets shit on because of his politics, but he's a genuinely good guy, a family man, talented as fuck at many things, isn't afraid to share his opinion and defend it, and is always attempting to put his best foot forward. He's the kind of guy society needs more of and we don't even know it and clown him for it.

That makes perfect sense why he's a Democrat, because the road to hell is paved with good intentions. I think most Democrat voters are short-sighted and gravely misguided, and I think Woody falls in to that category. He's also a college educated white-collar white person, which most Democrats are, which they think means they're smart but there's a big difference between knowledge and intelligence.
