swimming burns calorieses quite fast. not only are you constantly burning calories by swimming, but water cools your body very fast and your body needs to waste more energy for heating. toss in some breath diving which takes you more into anaerobic metabolysm which is glucose inefficient and you are burning through food . to explain the inefficient part: basicaly ATP is the "energy molecule" of your body . glucose ( obtained from breaking down sugers or by converting protein to glucose) and fats get turned into ATP which is used to power your cells. aerobic metabolism (with oxigen) can convert 1 glucose molecule into ( if i remember correctly) 32 to 36 ATP molecules, Anerobic( without oxigen--> sprinting, diving, explosive movements) convert 1 molecule of glucose into 2 ATP molecules.

Hutch. You have a very similar body type to me. Carbs are your friend don't avoid them. Have a fist full sized something of carbs every meal...you will stay lean your metabolism is really fast. You gotta eat and don't avoid carbs. For guys like us they are not a bad thing. Biggest lie in the industry is carbs are bad. Yes for some their body has a massive insulin response and they gain weight.....that doesn't happen with us as bad. Our body is efficiant in burning them off as energy and don't store them. Every time I cut carbs down in my training it suffered and I suffered. Been training for most of my life. Was very skinny and now I'm in the 85-90kg range at 5'10 and pretty lean. I eat a heap of carbs still to this day. If I don't I shink and I suffer in the gym in terms of energy and stamina. So eat those carbs dude....diet is very body specific and may take you a few months to get it spot on perfect for your body type. A basic rule for our body type though is always have a decent meal of carb and protein. Mix in some veggies and stuff for fibre and you are golden. Doesn't matter how you achieve this just always have carbs and protein in each meal. People make this shit so complicated when it really isn't. Carbs = energy and protein muscle repair and usually has a heap of nutrients in the protein source as well. Get a nice protein shake too, don't over do it but when you can't get that good source of protein they are really good to fill that hole. At the moment I have one a day usually after training when I don't get hungry for a bit. If I have skipped a meal or something I'll have one too with a bit of carbs somehow even if it's a small chocolate bar (usually before training if I've had a hectic day) I'll add in some nesquick to give it a bit of carbs as well post workout. Works well for me. Don't complicated it too much is the best advice I ever got.
@AdolfHitler-lk4vo2 жыл бұрын
His metabolism is not fast, actually its very low since hes skinny, he just doesnt eat enough to gain weight, stop with this metabolism misinformation
@UltraMagnis2 жыл бұрын
@@AdolfHitler-lk4vo 🤣🤣🤣🤣. Some people metabolic rate does run faster. I am one of those people. He needs carbs in his diet a lot. You are correct in that he probably isn't eating enough but to be as skinny as hutch at 6,2 or however tall he is...his metabolic rate run faster then most. He even said it in the video did you even watch it. He eats a lot but doesn't gain weight he said that. That tell me his metabolism burns faster then most. He said in the video ge can bascially eat whatever he wants and not gain a pound. It's what's know in the old terms as a hard gainer. Your body is very efficiant at burning off fat and not storing it. I'm not saying he should gorge himself but a lot of fitness bullcrap minimal carbs, high protein and fats.. for someone like hutch and myself carbs are your friend. Hard gainers need increase their caloric intake while providing him with ample energy to work out. If he does what most do and cut down the carbs he will become sluggish and not motivated. Every body is different of course but I can see the signs of him having this type of genetic make up. He to me is a hard gainer, struggles to put on muscle and fat. This can make it hard even if you are in a caloric surplus. Metabolism does play a factor in working out for sure if you are looking at gaining some muscle. If your metabolism is high you will struggle, if it's on the slow side (most obese people or those who fluctuate in weigh a lot) cutting the carbs out can help....for someone with hutches body type and make up it's best to leave them in. And I really was not talking about metabolism at all it was more diet for someone who is in hutches position which I have been. Struggling to put on muscle took me way too long to listen to my own body. It runs well and produces muscle gain as long as I keep a healthy amount of carbs in. That's all I was really saying. He's trying to gain muscle and weight....taking the carbs out is a bad idea. That was more my point. If he wants to gain weight leave them in and eat a lot. His metabolism is just a side effect of the way he eats. I would guess he is a grazer, eats small meals a lot during the day with a low carb intake. His body is effiant at burning off and using the proteins and good fats a little too good. So carbs are nessessary when you look the way he does ...and trying to beef up. My other advice was eat like a horse so we are having a discussion about the same thing really bar the metabolism line. I would even go as far to say hutch may wanna get checked for an over active thyroid. It causes a fast metabolism. So the fact you say it doesn't exist tells me all I need to know about your knowledge of the human body

“I’m only doing one exercise every 10 minutes” and that’s why the dude has literally no results. Unless you’re a powerlifter or testing 1RM lower the weight and lower the time in between sets, if it’s taking you 10 mins to recover that weight is too much for you. 60-90 seconds rest refills ATP stores for the muscle to work again, any longer than that is just you wasting time because your ego doesn’t want to do lower weight.
@BackFireZz2 жыл бұрын
Yeah my exact thoughts. Guy is seriously wasting his time if thats how hes gonna train.
@JamesBond-wv9xz2 жыл бұрын
Bro if you completely recover after just 60 seconds of weightlifting, then you aren’t doing enough weight and aren’t pushing yourself enough. Unless you’re doing circuit training or some type of conditioning work, you absolutely need at least 2 minutes rest. Ideal is 5 minutes, I recall reading studies with a friend of mine that that’s the best for both strength AND hypertrophy.
@user-ns3vs3bp3e2 жыл бұрын
@@JamesBond-wv9xz nope, for powerlifting sure 2-5 mins because you’re training singles/doubles at near 1RM so need complete recovery. For hypertrophy you’re training 80% of 1RM for sets of 10/12 for optimum results and honestly if you can’t do that with 90 seconds rest in between you’re either: 1) not pushing yourself through discomfort enough and refuse to start unless you’re completely rested which you don’t need for 80% 2) you overestimate your 1RM and need to retest it because you’re really trying to do like 90% for 8 and hitting failure every set which is counter productive only final set should be taken there 3) you have shocking recovery and need to do some fucking cardio occasionally XD I highly recommend you go watch somebody like as they said Jeff Nippard, far more intelligent than me and will explain it far better with a lot of studies to support his argument

6:30 - 7:00 Woody you seriously are speaking out of ignorance whilst thinking you know more than you do. The reason why those athletes can burn so much extra calories than the average person to warrant 10,000+ calories is because of the body rebuilding/repairing itself AFTER exercise. This is where the biggest spike in metabolism comes from, and where all the extra calories are needed.
@Alidwee12 жыл бұрын
How ironic. 10k+?? What the fuck are you on about? There isn't a single chance in hell any athlete is burning 10k calories period. Repair comes from protein, carbs and fat are for energy for the most part. Anything north of 2g of protein/lb of bodyweight is completely unnecessary, and thats only ~1600 calories in protein for a 210lbs person. The only athletes who do this are those who intentionally gain fat, like weightlifters.
