fun fact, 1 week ago, I go for a walk. There was a small river, I walk beside it. Then, I hear a kitten meowing. I search where it was, and I see a cat on the river almost drowned. I jumped into the river and save the cat. I heard another kitten meow. At first, I thought it was a kitten with his mom, so I brought the cat to the other meow. When I arrived at the sound, IT WAS ANOTHER KITTEN ALMOST DROWNED! I PICK HER UP AS FAST AS POSSIBLE! There was a fiber beside the river, I use it to dry them off. They were only 3 weeks when I saved them, and now they still with me. Thank god they were healthy! Update: They've grown up so much, and they're very sweet :)

Rescues are best. Before everything went sideways, I’d cuddle with the orphans at the local shelter. They got a lot of pictures of how the animals acted when shown love... their favorite picture is when I came back to the cats after a week... I’m lying on the floor, with at least ten cats perched on me. They really missed me!

I actually rescued a husky and here's the story So I was playing on my phone and I look out my window, there's a man beating a dang dog!!!!??!?!?! I go running out shoeless and grab the dog I said how would you like me to do that to you huh??? And so I hit him to a few times and we where equal so now I have a husky! 8 months after one of my dogs passed away, my family decided to adopt another dog to prevent our surviving boy from dying of heart break. so we went to the shelter and started looking around at beagles, because we heard beagles do better together. we found two little guys that could be a good fit. Beagle A got so excited, his little fluffy tail kept hitting the wall he was wagging so hard. he kissed my dad's hand even in his little room. when we brought him out to see how he would interact with us, he ran around kissing and nuzzling into us while whining. Beagle B was more shy, he took a little bit to walk over to my dad to get pet and then my mum and then me. he also had an expensive skin problem. we decided that Beagle A would be a better fit, we're a loud family. Beagle B didn't deserve that, he needed a quiet family preferably an older couple with no kids. So we go back into the room with Beagle A. he had peed on the seat of the chair in the room. my dad brought our dog there, he peed in the lobby. that's where we had adopted him from after all. he meets Beagle A. they get along well. so we adopt Beagle A. His name was Harley, honestly we could've changed it to Charlie but we didn't. so now we have Lucas Jones and Harley Quinn. first names were out of our choice, but middle name wasn't.

In my country there were numerous news articles that, at the beginning of the pandemic, people actually asked in shelters, if they could "adopt an animal only for the pandemic time" and if they were asked what happened to the animal afterwards, they said, they wouldn't have time for an animal then and bring it back to the shelter. The stupidity in some people is shocking.

@@petrescuework-difficultcas6581 Stupidity and lack of empathy. They have obviously no concept of how attached pets get to their humans and how it hurts them to part from them. I was in hospital once with someone who worked at a shelter, and she told me of a family that wanted the shelter to take their old dog and give them a young one instead. The utter callousness...The shelter took the old dog, because they feared the family would have gotten rid of him another way, and only THEN told them they couldn't get a new one. 👍 It's unbelievable to me. When my last dog died, I felt so privileged to have spent 13 of his 14 years with him - he died in my arms. And my new rescue (well, "new", he's been with me for five years) also has his forever home.

@@Panbaneesha Great that you help rescue pets 👍 The amount of puppy mill puppies has also risen drastically during the pandemic. Many of them are illegally imported and sold via the internet on marketplace sites for a quick buck. Many of them are too young or ill and die. But from the ones that survive, a load will end up in the shelters, once the people have to attend their workplace again and the puppy begins puberty or shows the mental signs of neglect of the first weeks of life. This will be a rough time that is coming..

Decades ago, my roommate's new-mother cat escaped after a few days of uncharacteristically trying to get outside. I let her in when I got home, she was carrying a kitten. Well half-carrying the kitten, half-walking the kitten. I noticed the kitten was both eating food and nursing with the other kittens... and it was much, much larger. My roomie's cat weaned that one within days. That kitten followed me around because I would play with it. My roomie moved in with her boyfriend but left that kitten. It turns out, that kitten was not one of her cat's kitten. Her cat stole that one and took it inside and it became my kitten. It turns out that kitten belonged to a neighbor. We shared custody for about 5 years until that neighbor moved away with him. Fortunately, I convinced that neighbor to neuter him and make him an indoor cat.

Our first cat turned up when I was seven. He was a timid little thing that just appeared in the garden and decided we seemed friendly. We never found out where he came from and he eventually passed twenty years later. A few years after that another cat turned up, initially terrified of us, but when I wiggled a piece of long grass at her (I missed having a cat, I just wanted to play, honest...) she did a complete personality 180 and moved in. Thanks to Facebook we found out her owners lived in the next street but the cat didn't like their toddler. We've had her for a few years now, signed over to us. We've also got a feral that sleeps at the end of the garden and scowls at us like breathing offends him (but he's happy if we make food mysteriously appear). I left him to himself until he got sick so I had to take some responsibility for him.

There was this REALLY cute kitten that my dad found - only a few weeks old - in the hood of his car as he went to start it. He brought it home and the other cats didn't like him at first. He wasn't very active or eating much. I was on a zoom call with my friend after school (this was during covid and we stayed home for school) and he just went poop while laying down. I exited the zoom call to take him to the bath, but he just layed in the bathtub, unmoving and meowing, even after i turned the water on. I immediatly knew something was wrong. I turned the water off and rushed to grab my phone, but neither my dad or my grandma was answering the phone. He was meowing from the bathroom and I felt so bad that I left him (and I still do). He couldn't move his body so I picked him up and layed on the couch with him. My grandma could not get off work, and my dad's work was about an hour away (I think), so neither could come. He was just laying there, breathing one sharp, ragged breath every 72 seconds. By the time my dad got home and we rushed him to the vet, he had already died in my arms. The look on my dad's face when the vet said his heart had stopped was heart breaking. His name was Mowgli and I loved him so much, even in the short time we had him.

We have a beagle/boxer mix who as a puppy we're not a hundred percent sure guy told the truth that was abandoned by owners cause they couldn't find her and told the guy he could have her if they find her then turns out one or the oldest 2 children are allergic so he came looking for someone to take him while dad was at work they had named her Ruby we ended up with her already having enough animals at the time 3 cats and 4 dogs well years later she's still with us and lovable but she doesn't like ppl who have cruel intentions towards us only know 2 times she proved that and she's let ppl with questionable background cops FedEx blacks and Mexicans on our property she mostly barks ppl always asks if she bites I say well as long as you have no cruel intentions towards us your safe heck the FedEx guy had her take treats out of his hand and letting her rub him our other 2 keep their distances

Currently, as I'm writing this comment and watching this video, my eldest cat Smokey of 17 years is laying in her bed beside me. We got her as a rescue kitten in Mississippi when I was about 5. Since then, she has became a mother figure to the four other cats we have had since then that we have rescued and taken in and now she enjoys her grandma year watching me play fallout and batting at dragons in Skyrim. Truth 12 year old dog we got as a rescue from puppy mill at they guess 9 months old won't let us get hands on him but he's loyal or else he would have left us years ago though occasionally when he's asleep he lets someone rub him or cover him up sweetest dog you ever seen use to say if somebody could get their hands on him he was theirs now it's like oh no you don't nobody has been successful except me really on getting closest to him we share a bond and poor things arthritis was bothering him yesterday not alot just enough I'm not sure what happened but as he was favoring his leg that has arthritis in it I'm thinking Sassy our puppy might have bumped it jumping all over him I had my back turned so can't say but I know that loud yelp came from him I told say sassy to leave him alone and when she didn't I got between them both she knew then I was being serious I told her to get her butt to the house even Marley we have 4 dogs got between her and Dobie I knew dobies leg was bothering him cause he hardly ever just lays down where we stop he sits that's why I put foot down with sassy cause Dobie has trouble on normal day escaping with all four legs but when favoring one it's harder

I have 2 dogs who were rescued from illegal, backyard puppy mill. They were trying to create the new smallest breed of dog, so they crossed a Westie with a Shih Tzu. Of course it didn't work, so the breeders put the 2 of them in a cage and starved them, thinking it would keep them from growing (and that didn't work either). Thankfully all the animals were rescued, but I had to adopt both of those sisters because after can now never be separated. They'll even freak out if I'm they're in 2 different rooms or 1 will try to save her sister when I'm giving her a hair cut.

Several years ago, my male coworkers' cat passed away from old age. He was heartbroken. About a week later, he was watching the local news and a segment came on about 3 kittens (6 weeks old) who had been found in a dumpster in a cardboard box that had been taped shut. The reporter said the kittens were available for adoption. The next morning, my coworker went to the shelter to adopt one of the kittens. When he got to their cage, all 3 of them were cuddled up to each other in the corner, sleeping. They woke up when they heard the shelter employee and my coworker talking. He played with them for a few minutes and when the shelter employee came back in and said "Did you decide which one?" and he said he couldn't bear the thought of separating them, so he adopted all 3. Their names are Oscar (boy), Chloe & Claire. 💗🌼🕊️

Our neighbor had like 50 outdoor cats. Most of them were babies from his origionals... One of the originals lived on our porch and we fed him and petted him and basically adopted him. This made me cry, it's so special to save an animal, I've done it, I was going to leave a long comment on the rescue cats but seemed too long with details. Anyone who saves a (not perfect) creature is a beautiful person. I've been there and 14 and two years later they thrive and I know they know I love them and they are safe (Also they are all perfect, just add love!)

This brings back memories of my kitten pumpkin who the mother left her on the stairs, Me and my grandma took care of it with the brother toui but we lost pumpkin on the 5th day of her birth and I still blame the mother cat even tho it wasn't her fault and everytime I see a kittenen or hear about one it leaves some tears in my eyes and heart, Before I got over pumpkins passing id blame myself and questiond God why and ask why I was even born and much more depressed stuff but yeah these videos give me a reminder of her. But thank u for making these videos they do cheer me up sometimes but hits me hard in the heart and sanity.

I have a cat that was rescued at 2 days old and she has truly become my sister. My mother owns her legally but the cat has chosen me specifically to be hers and she is curled up sleeping in their blanket happily

Here's the story of how I found my cats💖 I was coming back from a restaurant and hear meowing and see 2 gorgeous baby's on the river in a shoebox I dropped my food jumped in took the kittens and adopted them Posy and Tama are now happy and healthy 5 year old cats I also recently adopted one more kitten on the streets😊

We adopted a shelter pet over 5 yr ago she's a Velcro dog can't leave her alone for anything. She picked us and she's a very pretty Little lady brindle and white hound mix. She loves us alot. Such a sweet girl.

My mom and I got a cat from a shelter. My best friend helped pick her out. She was a rescue first, then given up because she couldn't handle other pets in the house. She came home with us and she's the sweetest and sassiest cat I've ever known. As soon as I sit she's up on my lap! I love her to death ❤️

Our cat came to us 18 years ago. My husband delivered pizzas on the weekends in college, he was given a kitten as a tip. Best tip ever!!! I was afraid of cats at the time due to a bad experience as a child, i wasn't happy when my now hubby said he had a surprise for me. 18 years later and i wouldn't trade my furry little son for anything!

On the 9 June (tomorrow) I adopt a traumatised (tragic circumstances) cat that I was head-hunted for by the Manager of my local Cat Sanctuary whom I've had cats from before. It's a privilege and a honour to be his Mummy. To all adopters - bless you! 🙏🙏🙏

About 7 years ago I rescued 3 cats. For the first two, we broke into someone’s yard, the cats were abused and starving. They spray, and have to be left outside but they are worth it. The orange cat, ruby, (Their both boys I named them when I was really little) and the black cat, max, are doing well. Ruby will kill anything in her sight wether it’s a bird or a snake (yes she KILLED A POISENES SNAKE) And max is really sweet. The third cat we stole off an animal control bus, which was going going to put him down. SAY HAPPY BIRTHDAY! HES NOW 20!!

Found a stray cat hiding inside the backside-floor nearly 5 years ago. Poor thing was freezing and so hungry back then, that she didn't even tried to run away when we aproached her. Gave her some food from the cat we already had, some water and kept the door open, so she could decide if she wants so stay or go. She stayed and is still with us, even though she's still an outside-cat who loves to stray around for a few hours, sometimes not coming inside for days and preffering to sleep outside. But she still always comes back at some point, wanting her cuddles and a warm bed to sleep in =)

my rescue baby just turned 16 today hes a bichon cross from a hoading arrest of 42 dogs. he was one of the 22 puppies from there... i actualy found the home riding my scooter and saw him walk around and he instantly ran to me and i fell for him... my new pup then showed me walking towards the house and saw the old grouchy man whom clearly had severe dementia but he woken up for a second but fell asleep, that puppy then showed me where the other dogs that were in the 3 bedrooms... i called my sister whom worked for the local pet rescue/foster home and the guy gave up his pets and the rest found loving homes... i will never forget how bad that place smelled it was worse then a landfil filled with the most smelly waste possible it was that bad... My boyfriends moms house seems to be a hot spot for drop off cats/kittens. The first time we were living there and I decided to feed the kitten (probably about 9 months old) and she always said “the cat isn’t allowed inside!” Well, winter hit and she felt sorry for the cat, so she let her in. After that, kiddles (kids named her) became part of the family. We moved out not to long after that. Then another drop off cat came around and his mom knew she couldn’t take care of it. So she asked us if we could take it in. When we came to pick up the kitten, it was love at first sight. Little Luna has been with us for over a year and has truly been a blessing for us.

I have one cute and simple story of adopting a stray kitty. On a sunny summer day when I was 7 I kept saying all day "I want a cat so much" and "I miss having a cat, I wish to have one again!" (I had a cat before for a very short time before she disappaired forever). After repaiting the same sentences all day, at the end of the day I hear my father saying loud from outside "Oh, I found a kitten out here!". The kitten was a beautiful black and white kitty. We took her, named her and gave her all the love she deserved ❤️ (She has passed away at 18 years old about 3 years ago but she will never be forgotten🥀)

Aren't Coon Hounds the best 🥰 I have a Red Bone. She has a cleft lip. The breeder would not have been able to sell her and wasn't going to keep her as a pet; with the cleft lip the breeder would've had her put down cuz she was useless to him. My son was at the right place at the right time to rescue her. I'm so glad we did. We love her so much! She's so sweet, smart and funny. 🥰

No greater love than of Animals! No human will ever love you like an animal. Sadly most people do not deserve to have any kind of Animals...abusers should be removed from the planet! Animals deserve all the love and care possible. PLEASE ALWAYS PROTECT ANIMALS FROM ABUSE NO MATTER WHAT IT TAKES. DON'T WAIT .. TAKE ACTION IMMEDIATELY...
