i discovered this song during an abusive relationship. i have a very visceral memory of me playing this for him after we’d seen phantom of the opera and i was so overwhelmed with emotion as he didn’t really seem to emote anything at all. hearing it now makes me feel safe. i had a good chuckle in the beginning of the video but it quickly turned into a silent cry. damn it, kate!
