This song is just perfectly evocative fo the feeling of summer passing too fast. The longing vocals, the soaring keyboards, the ringing guitar. And Martha still looks so pretty.

Just saw them last night 9-1-22 at a small venue of 325 people. I was 100% blown away. She sings like she is in her prime. I'm a fan. Super impressed. Band is excellent as well and really seemed like they were still having fun. It sounded as good or better than the album. It was one of those performances that sticks with you and you want to tell people about it. They should be playing bigger venues.

They still have it they took the time to practice obviously one of my favorite songs from a long time ago. In high school in the early eighties, my clock radio would come on in the morning, and I often would hear that woman singing that song. They gave a top drawer performance.

If any music theory geeks are reading this, the fact that the pre chorus begins on the #11 of the IV chord is absolutely outrageously gorgeous. Also, the instrumental break sounds like it could belong in a Steely Dan tune. Also.... It's just an incredibly haunting and wonderful song that reminds me of being 10.
