Nurse's situation is not as uncommon as you may think it would be. Repositioned children are born of non-married alliances, and absorbed into the family by the girls' mothers, aunts or even elder sisters as an informal act to keep the baby in its own family while preserving the family 'reputation'. Nurse was not, as adoptees are, separated from DNA ties of kinship and ancestry. Deception is never a good thing, and sooner or later the truth will out.
