This was a real trppy artistic listen for me. Not too sure about the genre though - is it Post Metal or Sludge or......... ?
@FlorpingAllOver2 жыл бұрын
It's post-sludge metal, so both :D

Technically Post-Metal. Although, as with a lot of bands in this genre, there is a lot of Sludge influence.

Such a underrated band, draws a lot from Cult of Luna but still with their own personal twist.

The Moth Gatherer is my all-time favourite band so this is just a joy to see you react to! You should definetely check out The Drone Kingdom and Phosphorescent Blight by the same band

I'm digging this deep cut, Moth Gatherer has been recent favorite of mine since I really been vibing the whole Post-Metal , Blackgaze scene lately My suggestion for Geebs and peeps in the comments: Violet Cold , one man project that messes with Blackgaze, Post-Metal but also has some very melodic and dare I say "poppy" influences but I have really been wanting spread the love ; Violet Cold - Stargasm

You should definitely try Obscure Sphinx. I suggest songs such as Nothing Left, The Presence of Godess, or Lunar Caustic

I'm totally a sucker for those drawn out outros, Smoke of Many Fires - Belakor and Deliverance - Opeth are perfect examples. I could just listen to those single riffs for hours on end and never get bored

Oh wow, The Moth Gatherer. This is a deeeeeeeeep cut. Well done I might suggest another pretty trippy band: Oranssi Pazuzu! Try the song Saturaatio or Tyhjyyden Sakramentti. Think it's classed as avante garde psychedelic black metal

Ok finally something that is not so mainstream and known. Also an good example how to do vocals bit more interesting than 90% etc mallcore, emo, etc bands. Kinda reminded me of Kylesa. Which you could check and if you do so, then something from Static Tension album which is their best work.

If this was trippy for you Geebz you should check out their 2019 album Esoteric Oppression! Was my fav record of that year. When you listen to it you will find yourself wandering in a dark landscape. Absolutely fantastic!

I hear a lot of influence from the band Neurosis...they are a sort of post-ambient-sludge-stoner-grind influenced sort of vibe...they started a lot of bands down that path. They are big influence of Mastodon although they took everything in a more metal and prog direction
@absp20062 жыл бұрын
I'm gonna throw down three artists: The Gentle Man (A KZbinr with a Musician) - "The Evolution of Tears" is their first album that they released last year Mick Gordon - Doom (2016), best soundtrack to massacre demons with. Best tracks include "Rip & Tear", "At Doom's Gate", "Hellwalker", and "BFG Division" - Doom Eternal (2018), soundtrack is not officially released, so I'd recommend the KZbin channel "Koma". Favorite tracks are "Meethook", "The Only Thing They Fear is You", "BFG 10000"... Andrew Hulshult - Doom Eternal: The Ancient Gods. Check the "Koma" KZbin channel. Favorites are "Blood Swamps" and "World Spear" - Prodeus, a "Doom clone". Favorites are "Spent Fuel", "Nether", and "Decay"

Another great band I discovered by watching this channel. Thanks for that. Please check out COUNTLESS SKIES, the song ZYPHER is incredibly powerful

Reminds me of the band Conan somewhat. Same style of 'in-the-behind-of' mixing style with aggressive yelling vocals placed far away and with fuzz on the instrumentals. The differentiation is Conan is more slow and has an immense wall to their sound, moving them deeper and into the Doom sub-genre!! I recommend their album Existential Void Guardian to anyone interested :)

Good band, been around for a minute, but are very unknown and underrated. To me and my musical sense, they remind me of a scaled down Cult Of Luna. Always make me pound my fist and stomp my feet. That drummer and bassist in me, loves their hammering rhythms… The album released after this, “Esoteric Oppression”, is a much more mature sound, with better production, but I prefer their first two albums! 🤘🏼🤘🏼

DethKlok Let's go is a reach out to a very funny and cerebrally lights out cartoon of a ultradeath heavy metal band. It's sweet, but it's also bloody and filled with idiots. So, it balances. Therein you can have some fun watching. Thereof I just wanted to state that. Just don't let kids watch. It's far too violent.
