The Mother Aspect of God | Brother Anandamoy

Paramahansa Yogananda said in his Autobiography of a Yogi that because God as the Infinite Absolute is beyond all qualities, “human thought and yearning have ever personalized It as the Universal Mother.”
In this talk, Brother Anandamoy, a beloved minister of Self-Realization Fellowship, discusses Paramahansa Yogananda’s wisdom about God as the Divine Mother and how we, too, can awaken a greater awareness of the Divine Mother’s all-embracing presence and unconditional love She has for us as Her children.
This talk, given at the 1981 SRF Convocation in Los Angeles, captures the characteristic warmth, humor, and penetrating insight of Brother Anandamoy (1922 - 2016).

I met brother Anandamoy in '85 at the SRF Fullerton temple, such a wonderful soul and peaceful presence, we talked for a while privately and then had lunch together with some of the other devotees at the church there. I became a Kriyaban in 2008 (SRF Mother Center) and have since been in very close connection with God, Jesus and Gurudey. With each meditation practice of 'Kriya' and after effects of bliss/love our attunement get's stronger and closer. What a gift that has been given to us, I cannot describe in words.
