Acho q é porque o ninho não foi feito em árvores, e sim em meio a pedras, oq torna a o golpe do cuco mais difícil. E acho q esse vídeo também explica um pouco do porquê do cuco precisar expulsar os outros filhotes do ninho, ao invés de apenas conviver pacificamente com os outros filhotes como um irmão adotado. Me parece q quando a expulsão dos outros filhotes do ninho não é bem sucedida, a mãe acaba notando as diferenças gritantes entre seus próprios filhotes e o intruso, e por isso passa a discriminar o filhote parasita.
