If you re-watch the entire video turned at 90 degrees it will cancel out the effect and you'll see the black/white stripes normally again. Also, turning the video 45 degrees removed the effect temporarily.

I'm only getting the vertical lines to have a slight pink tint, the horizontal lines are barely affected, the biggest effect for me is when the pictures changes, especially from green to red, then I get like matrix looking kind of code or like a green monster logo for a few seconds. Why is this? I've looked at the pictures twice (2x3 minutes) within a minute of each other.

The sensory cells in your eyes are grouped per color, red blue and green. When you stare at one color for a while, the cells which are sensitive to that color get temporarily burned out. When the picture changes what happens is that they start to come back to function. Because all the colors are present in the white parts but none of the previous color is present in the colored parts they only get stimulated by the white parts, while the cells sensitive to the new color get stimulated by the colored parts more. Combine this with the fact that our eyes are constantly darting around in where were looking, and you get this trippy effect when the picture changes.

I believe this has to do with the way our eyes perceive things.. if we get used to seeing something displayed in a different way multiple times, we will eventually start seeing it the way we've now been trained to see it. It is a certain pattern with certain spacing and color, so if we see anything with that same pattern, it will be red or green. Also, this may not be relevant to this effect, but my left eye shows anything like a white wall to have a red tint, while the right gives a bluish green tint..
