We stayed at that same Route 66 motel in Shamrock, Texas. It was such a wonderful relief from the motel 6s and super 8s we stayed at during that trip we took last year. Those big budget chains are getting awful with scratchy paper towel sheets and hard springy mattresses. The one in Shamrock wasn’t trendy and updated but man was it comfortable and cheap for $40.

That last bridge is walking distance from my house. That bridge crosses over where the Canadian river flows into Overholser Lake. Years ago that bridge had wood planks that were shriveled up and warped and missing in a few spots. It was SCARY as HELL going over it. It got closed for many years until they resurfaced it with concrete and reopened it.

EDIT: and as another poster stated, when I click the link to buy a shirt, I get a rather scary message as if the page has been hacked. Click it Adam, you will see.

Aaron Price It's also the bridge where there is supposed to be a grave where a character from the Grapes of Wrath was buried. Remember when they wanted to place a fake grave there for tourism? Right across from there used to sit the old drive in. All that's left now is part of the sign.

Sorry about that weather Adam the Woo. You came through on our last cold day of the year in Oklahoma!! It even snowed this morning.... which you already might know!! It will be 80 degrees by Thursday.

I live in western Oklahoma and Erick pretty near my house (50 miles or so) There used to be a Roger Miller Museum there but I think it has since shut down, a shame really. For those interested the dinner, they were at is the Route 66 cafe in Clinton Oklahoma about 15 miles from my house Lucilles is in between Weatherford Oklahoma and Hydro Oklahoma just off of I 40. I am surprised you didn't show a shot of the Glancey Motel just like a block or two up the street from the 66 Cafe, it is an Iconic route 66 motel. Also in Clinton right on route 66 used to be the Calmez motel....it's not there now but Elvis also stayed there back in the day! As for the Glancy Motel. I have seen paintings of it as far away as southern Indiana! Have a great day!! Oh, I almost forgot, there is a route 66 museum in Clinton as well, it.is not as good as the Elk City one which I was across the street from just today!! Happy trails!!

So... Just have to say that for years I got used to my morning coffee and watching Adams videos. Then they went away. Always respecting a persons decision, I dealt with the loss of daily videos and wished Adam the best. Hoping 1 day the daily vids would return.
