Just picked mine up today! I had the 2022 model, it's definitely different. The fingerprint scanner is okay, I'm used to the back sensor. The stylus is higher quality and the device is much lighter in weight. I don't care for the colors though. Great phone for $250 (on sale)

We know by now that optical finger print sensors require more pressure and time on the sensor. Only bad side is it only gets ONE major update. 😢

I purchased one of these going into it somewhat blindly, I just looked at the specs and pressed the buy button because it is one of the few phones that works on my (pretty bad) CDMA cell network (idk why the US still uses CDMA). It costed around 250 dollars unlocked due to a Black Friday deal. It just arrived the other day and I have been pleasantly suprised. It handles games well, has good battery, seems relatively durable, and was for sure worth the price. Keep in mind that I upgraded from a Moto G Stylus 2020 (yeah idk how that old thing still works), so my expectations arent too high. My conclusion is if you are looking for a good budget phone that can handle light gaming such as Pokémon GO and other games on mid to low settings, this is perfect, especially if you find it on sale.

So I have had 3 of these and I have some answers for you here. Reprogramming the fingerprint will make it more accurate, specifically if you program the same finger from both hands. It'll blend the prints together and be more accurate. The stylus took a little getting used to but I figured out making sure it writes accurately, and the CAMERA is it's own animal. Yes it has enhanced features that beautify and blend things, that is not the camera itself. It's Moto AI camera, and if you take pictures in different places you'll see what I mean. It asks when you first open the camera if you want a natural picture, or enhanced. Super simple to switch between them.It's actually using a blending ai pattern that does best in DARKNESS. Bright pictures can tend to look blurry in the lightest spots due to this enhancement, but if you dig in the camera settings, you can turn off the enhancement, and if you know enough about how pro cameras work, you can swipe over to the PRO capture mode and control each of the settings manually, including using a RAW capture instead of JPEG, raw is uncompressed and takes more space, or save one of each format so you can decide yourself. I personally prefer the high-resolution mode found in the more section.

Thank you for this. Considering this phone and coming from iPhone. Im a big Apple user but would like to branch out and see what other devices are like so fingerprint is a big thing for me. I have a windows laptop and the Face ID doesn’t always work so I was concerned “ what if I get locked out of my own phone because a feature screws up “ lol 😅

Hey bro great review the moto edge Plus 2022 had a stylus support on that device which was way better than the stylus series but even currently right now it's a 2-year-old phone and they're selling a folio case in the stylus pen for about 80 bucks which makes no sense to me because the phone is almost $280 now and they have not changed the price on that case and stylus pen. I'm not sure if it had bluetooth support but the case had a slot for the pen and it would charge the prn in that slot, if they would have lowered the price on that case it might have been a bargain for some who are looking for a phone with stylus support besides the Moto g stylus

I just got 2024 Motorola g stylus but it came with a smell like pineapple it's like when you open up a iPhone it smells like battery. I thought the smell would go away but it's very strong in a enclosed room and the phone gets hot

If you use bluetooth auto-play or don't have an android auto compatible system, you're going to be seriously disappointed that this will not auto-connect nor auto-play. This seems to be an issue with Android 14 on these devices... and we all know how fast Motorola is at pushing fixes, so you might want to wait for a Lineage port or Android 15 to be released on this device before buying it to use as your daily media machine... I made this mistake so now you don't have to.

In your Moto app, set up settings for moto actions. You can configure swipes to do that. buttons fail, and are moisture ingress points. A lot of the Moto actions/gestures are patented, like 'hatchet' motion flashlight, wrist twist to open camera.

I used to having Samsung Galaxy A series phones I recently upgraded to my first Samsung Galaxy s24 Fe and I must say I really like the Samsung Galaxy Fe series phones better than the Samsung Galaxy A series phones but I bought a Motorola stylus 5g 2023 for work then I recently upgraded to the Motorola 5g stylus 2024 and I must say Motorola makes a really good work phone I really like the Motorola 5g stylus 2024 better than last year's and it my new favorite Motorola stylus 5g

Hey! Awesome review man. I hope your channel pops, this is the kind of quality video that people look for! Call me crazy, but I think I'm going to buy this phone, coming from a perfectly good s22. I can deal with all the downgrades, even from a 2-year-old flagship. Sadly the battery on the s22 kills the whole experience, despite all its other great features. The Moto stylus hits all the boxes I need, with a killer battery!

God… that’s a tough one. I’d say the iPhone 11 just because of its software viability and security. A 5 year old iPhone will typically still outperform a newer entry level android, only downsides would be the 4G cap and the storage depending on what size you’re buying! I’d go with the iPhone 11 honestly!

As far as I know, this phone has 3 yrs of OS updates and 4 of security updates. And, sylus pen aside, this phone has the perks I want: card slot, LED screen, decent camera, good battery , headphone jack and an FM radio. Moto made big improvements with the screen and updates here, which has made Samsung an easier choice. Not a fan of the colors here but I still want one.
