Leaving Johnsons crossing calling at Teslin for a hearty breakfast we proceeded to the Stuart Cassier highway close to Watsons Lake proceeding Southward, out of the Yukon and into British Columbia, down to Dease Lake. An excellent day for spotting wildlife, we saw 10 bears including mother and her two cubs feeding by the roadside, unfortunately one of them feeding on roadside garbage.
The following day we continued on the Stuart Cassiar , with no bears spotted , we biefly paused at Jade City for a free coffee and for a rain shower to pass, picking up a couple of gifts, before proceeding on to Bell 2 lodge, where we will be staying for two nights, before setting off again on the 30th for Terrace, Prince Rupert, the ferry and eventually Vancouver Island.
