I had a brilliant day at the NEC Birmingham attending the Motorcycle Live show. It was SO lovely to meet so many people who came up to say Hello.
Because i was a bit like a kid in a candy shop, the footage is not my best, I was too easily distracted... "OOOhhhh Look - A Motorcycle!"

Great video thanks for the tour. The new Super Meteor 650 is stunning, and you just know it's going to fly out the shops so if you want one in each colour Charlie you need to register your interest asap lol. But yeah, it's stunning and RE are just killing the market at the moment and ticking all the right boxes. Keep an eye out for the new Royal Enfield GS Shotgun 650 Charlie. You may just like it. Ride safe.

I went on the 1st Wed, it wasn't too bad. The show brought forward the British Superbike stars to the opening Sunday as opposed to the middle weekend I believe so a bit busier. Which was your favourite 'Custom Heroes' bike Charlie? I couldn't belive the work done on the 20th Year Anniversary Build ( Destiny Cycles) & Lamb's Engineering 'Moo'. Glad you enjoyed it & thanks for sharing the experience 👍

Ah, that would be double exhaust burns from working on the BSA , if you haven't watched it take a look, the video is a hilarious trial and error ( and burns!) of me replacing a sump cover on an old bike. 🤣

I enjoyed the show, because I like the classic / retro styling of a lot of the bikes there, and the adventure bikes. I'm sure if I preferred 'crotch rockets' I'd be a little disappointed, but overall it ticks all the boxes I enjoy. 😊

Ladies. By thinking that you absolutely must flat foot your bikes you are really limiting your choices. If you learn to shuffle your bum to one side you should be able to get one foot down firmly on the floor. I say this as someone with the same inseam as Charlie who owned and rode a motorcycle with a 900mm seat height for 14 years. If you want to see this from a female perspective have a look at the Doodle on a Motorcycle channel. She did a vid about this problem. She actually rode a bike for 5 years before suddenly discovering that all she needed to do was shuffle over a bit. It suddenly allowed her to test and try many more styles of bike. My only bit of advice would be make sure when coming to a stop that the camber of the road doesn't fall away too much, if it does then learn to put your right leg down when coming to a stop. Hope this is of some use.
