Slower rpm produces finer ground. Faster rpm produces coarser ground.

Yeah I’d never even thought of RPM having an effect on the grind size before this. I wonder why that’s the case.

I think the reason why the grind is different at different rpm is that burrs act sort of like a knife. I can slice an egg shell fairly cleanly if I slash quickly with a knife, but going slowly with the knife ends up crushing the shell. I'm not too sure though.

I thought they get out of alignment bc of the higher forces produced by the motordante.

Absolutely enjoyed this video, the Motordante could be a little noisy compared to grinding it by hand I assume. Try High Horse Coffee "The Black Canoe" from Canada.

Acceleration and deceleration lessen the consistency of particle size, and it looks like most handgrinding people accelerate and decelerate for (maybe) every turn. Seems like a potential for a quicker draw trough due to micro channeling around the micro boulders

@@zarak687 not to say that handgrindig is worse for the taste, people experimenting with the kruve sives are saying that if you are removing to much so the grinds are "too similair" you'll get a dull 2dimentional cup and miss out on complexity. 😊
