Hustle up the spiral stairs See if anyone's left up there Teams on the scene from several stations Everybody adjust your expectations Stray clumps of hair and blood and brain Fragments of bone in the drain Rookies trying to keep the airway clear But the damage is too severe Bring in the Cadaver Sniffing Dog Bring in the Cadaver Sniffing Dog Bring in the Cadaver Sniffing Dog Bring in the Cadaver Sniffing Dog Army crawlers down ash-wet floor Ready for war Veterans on their hands and knees Nobody's ready for days like these Wait till you come upon the smoking wreck Even then you check Radio home all clean If there were any survivors, they fled the scene Bring in the Cadaver Sniffing Dog Bring in the Cadaver Sniffing Dog Bring in the Cadaver Sniffing Dog Bring in the Cadaver Sniffing Dog

Oh man, this is good. After Younger I feared we had another case of 'one irresistible song and the rest is mediocre' like i felt with Goths. But here I am listening to this. I could not be happier!
@kobyhaigerty31575 жыл бұрын
There were maybe 3 mediocre tracks on Goths, but I'd be super hard pressed to cast nearly every song on that album into that category. With tracks at the beginning, like Andrew eldritch, we do it different, and unicorn tolerance, bringing a fun light-hearted goth energy, and later tracks, like wear black, shelved, rage of travers, and portuguese, giving an angsty, depressing turn, all book ended nicely between the super angsty rain in soho and the uplifting but sadly whimsical abandoned flesh, I'd say it's definitely one of their best. And undoubtedly one of their more conceptual albums.

Wat?
@nancydepper4765 жыл бұрын
@@pjmmccann "Cadaver-sniffing dog" means a dog that sniffs cadavers. "Cadaver sniffing dog" can also mean a cadaver is sniffing a dog, and I think that image is probably better suited for the Goths album than this one :-)
@pjmmccann5 жыл бұрын
Hmm, maybe you modified your comment: I could have sworn it concerned the lack of a possessive indicator, and not the connecting hyphen. Ah well: agree 100% on the hyphen :-)
