@@cfdbyrne it's the face around 20 minute mark .well worth doing , even if you're not fit . Seems like an easy trail to follow. Death before dishonour !! Did a 56km back in April . . This looks harder .

Fair play Paul - it's as tough as they get for a one-day challenge. As a fella said to me on the mourne yesterday, I lived with a redhead for 3 years, I can do pain - interesting perspective :) welcome to the mourne wall club!!

Nice to meet you yesterday guys. Managed to get back by 10pm. Judging by the pace Charlie was going I'm sure you were gone well before that.

It was great to meet you too Andrew. Sorry I had to go on at the top of Muck. I waited for a while but I was starting to cook. Kevin sprained his ankle so he had to bow out. Well done finishing. It's a great achievement and some amount of exercise for one day!

Charles Brilliant video. I've always wanted to do this and after watching i decided ill come back home and do it late may early June. Can you advise me if there are many places where its easy to go wrong. If so where and any useful advice please would be welcome. Also if you want to meet up i can provide you with another great trek what will make good viewing for yourself and your chum todo.

Hi Collie. That's great. Sorry for the delay replying. If you follow the wall you should be good. There are a few places where smaller walls intersect, so you just have to watch them. Most importantly, you need to watch the timing. We were particularly slow in this video as I wasn't feeling too well and the ground was very damp, but you still need to start as early as possible. Also, manage your water supply. We carried way too much in this video, and it made it difficult. I'll get Kevin to add more details.

We actually did it in two days this week. It was a lot more civilised. We stayed in the Meelmore Lodge. The Mournes are indeed very beautiful - the most spectacular range in Ireland as they are all bunched together. I highly recommend this hike.
