That's good because it hides the bucket, and the metal is slippery enough. But if used as a live trap it needs sufficient ventilation thru two opposite sides.

Are you kidding? The space between the lid and the bucket wall is more than enough ventilation, especially since each mouse falling in activates the lid like a fan blade.

You're aware they live in burrows right? They'll be fine. The issue they have in small plastic traps is overheating but this has plenty of space.
