I got the Fossil Gen 3 Q Explorist Smoke Stainless Steel as my first smartwatch and I love it. Doesn't have GPS, LTE, and a heartrate sensor, but I don't need them. There are three buttons and the main one works like the one on Apple Watch. The bands are also changeable, so I can change the look of it if I ever want to. Besides the slow charging, it's the perfect watch for me.

I own this watch and purchased it two days ago for $160.00 in Florida at an outlet store. A very nice watch, high quality watch, but it would be too expensive at full price. The battery drains quickly; about 10 percent per hour. I have three smartwatches, and my wife said this is "hands down" the best looking one of the three. ASUS Zenwatch gen 1 , and a Motorola Moto 360 gen2. Charges super quickly; about 2 hours to a full charge. It is very fast; no lag at all.

I bought one of these and I don't regret it at all. This is everything I wanted and more out of Android Wear. As someone who wears a watch as a fashion accessory and loves analog watches, the Movado is the only one I will consider wearing over a traditional watch. Its design and looks are way above anything else any other smart watch maker is putting out. And it *feels* like a watch on your wrist - not way too light like most smart watches. The Movado watch faces are amazing and look like a traditional watch too. I don't care about not having a heart rate monitor, GPS, etc. Movado focused on what traditional watch wearers want. Do I wish it had more buttons or ways to interact? Sure. But I'm super happy with this thing. I do kinda wish I got the metal band though. The silicone is nice, but I worry about the durability in the long run.

I pre-ordered mine to get it from day one of it's release though paid USD$800, but didn't for a second regretted it. "Okay Google" absolutely stopped working on my original Huawei Watch. They still haven't made anything to be able to replace it. The luxury watch look, that sweet Milanese metal band and sapphire covered display. (Using sapphire is really taste. The iPhone's camera lens sapphire glass is not real sapphire according to jerryrigeverything) The stainless steel has some small scratches but the sapphire is flawless after two+ years of wearing it everyday, including outdoors and at the gym. The battery life is still about the same and even taking calls on it or playing music while working around the house still works surprisingly well. It would be awesome if there was a mess one with a bit larger screen and newer wear specific processor. It's still smooth usually but sometimes it'll need a restart due to being choppy; it's usually super smooth.

Michael I absolutely love Movado I really appreciate that you explained the History behind the Company as well. I really Love Movado for Year's but what really hurt's and does matter is definitely having the correct band on such a Simple Beautiful Piece. I have been a fan for Year's and nice to see the Companies getting involved in tech but if they are going to go this way I would Love to see Leather at least. I also think if they can charge a Thousand dollars for a phone that today can be like a Computer in hands.Then I really appreciate that they did not get too Crazy with price. I love Movado watches I own two of them and I saw this thing and honestly thought about getting it. I figured I'd never find a proper review then a few days later this video pops up. I'm like you at such a high price, sapphire display should be included and I would have really wanted to see GPS at the minimum. This was a great review/quick look thing. Asus zenwatch 3 looks quite good, it also lacks GPS heart rate monitor and LTE like this one does but it's significantly cheaper. I've had no problems out of mine for the past year.

You are so on point about the need of physical navigation system on an Android Wear device. When i reviewed Samsung Gear lineup, the ring around the watch was the best. I think that smartwatches are all the time leaning towards the sports and not the the "average Joe". Which is shame, because personally i have been wearing a smartwatch for a few years now. Still missing my Pebble. ;)

I still personally love my Pebble Time. I tried an LG Watch Style for a month and couldn't stand the battery life or the software. I returned it and went right back to Pebble.

If you want Luxury, try the Armani connected watch. I know it is not as established of a watch brand, but still luxurious. It has the same specs at half the price but it has the same problems that come with Android wear...

Until Android Wear stops it's annoying new trend of not supporting perfectly good older smartwatches like the LG Urbane lineup, first or second generation, with their latest updates I'm going to stick to....well nothing. I'm getting really tired of having to buy a new smartwatch every time Google puts out an update. It's too expensive and not really worth it. The last good, usable smartwatch was the Pebble...and we all know what happened there.....anyway, Happy New Year Michael, and here's to many more great reviews from the best reviewer on KZbin :)

I love Movado watches but as an iPhone user you get a more complete package by getting a stainless steel series3. You get the sapphire crystal glass and much more functionality. I'll stick with their traditional time pieces

I have the Fossil Gen 3 Explorist and it's pretty amazing. Same specs as this watch but it looks nice a nice watch (read: like a normal watch and not a smart watch). You should check one of those out. They're 1/3 the cost of this watch and better looking IMO.

Maybe someone here can help... so I have a Movado Connect, and it is in excellent condition because I only got to wear it a few times... the issue I have with it, and the reason I only got to wear it a few times, is that the glass becomes loose and it moves. I realize it is not going to fly out and fall, but it still does feel like any slight movement of the arm may dislodge it and cause a real issue. It is not broken, cracked, nor chipped, it is just literally loose as if whatever seal the glass should have to hold it in place is not functional. I understand the touchscreen mechanism behind it is going to prevent it from fully coming out, but that shouldn't be moving so the mechanism is likely being stressed too by the movement... so yeah, the question is, has this happened to anyone else, and how did you resolve it? I thought buying a screen protector would work since it might keep the glass held in place, but since the glass protector is smaller than the face of the watch, and there isn't a lot of bezel either even if I could find a round protector that was wide enough to cover outside of the glass... but I have not tried it, nor do I think it'll work, so again, I welcome any feedback I may get from someone else on the same boat. Sorry to hijack your video to ask something somewhat related to the watch, but not the video :) Thanks in advance. PS. I did send the watch to Movado for repairs, and they returned it saying they didn't know how to "fix it" which I find baffling since it's just literally about sealing the glass to the circular cut out in whatever way it was done originally, but evidently they "couldn't"

*looks at video title* oh right, for a second there I thought this was an "wearos review" video, what happened to the movado connect? does it's band hold up? how heavy/light is it? how is the screen outside? how well does it hold up in rainy weather? is it comfortable to wear all day? is it comfortable enough to wear to bed? how is the battery life compared to other similar watches (i.e. wearos with NFC and no LTE)? anyone who has worn enough watches will know, rubber bands are a bit tricky. G shock is a heavy as hell watch, but you never FEEL that because the band is well made. OTOH, g watch sport has a really badly done rubber/silicone band, where you actually start to FEEL the weight of the watch (and at times it feels like the watch face is just going to tear right out and drop off). how is this a reivew of a WATCH? you know you're reviewing a WATCH right, not a phone.
