For me, this was the best line up for The Move, one of the best British bands of the 60's. I was 19 when this came out at the end of 1966, so was around for the very best years of the 60's sound, and I can tell you that they were brilliant performing live. A lot of talent on display here with Carl Wayne, one of the best front men and, of course, the legendary Roy Wood and a superb drummer in Bev Bevan. With Trev Burton on rhythm and the charismatic Chris Kefford on bass, it was a brilliant line up. "Ace " Kefford was definitely the coolest dude on the block back then, a real "showman". This , my friends, is what the 60's was all about.

Four amazing vocalists, pioneering musicianship, powerhouse drums from Bev, and the genius himself on songwriting duties- ROY WOOD! Wish I could have actually been alive then and in Swinging England. Cream were way better than The Beatles, despite Eric Claptons "Questionable" Political and Social beliefs. erm, way more than a "hint" of the 1812 -- the whole tune is very cleverly based on Tchaikovsky's warhorse, including the "image on your bedroom wall" chorus. also, this and "I Can Hear The Grass Grow" and "Walk Upon the Water" all find Roy Wood casting a way-ahead-of-his-time critical eye on psychedelia and mod/hippie culture, perhaps more so than anyone this side of Frank Zappa. Fascinating.

You were born at a great time! To experience the 60s/early 70s was an unbelievable time for new original music. In the Uk, we loved black american soul. We also had great bands such as The Beatles, Rolling Stones, The Kinks, The Move. The Move later became Electric Light Orchestra who reformed in 2010. I can thoroughtly recommend ELO Wembley or Bust concert 2017.
