I agree, Kody said they had to move immediately because they have purchased other property and now they have to get out of there because they can't afford to pay for both places, but they will have four monthly rents to pay out and money to build on the new property. wow, they must have it somewhere. I suppose the wives could go sign up for welfare or social services in their rentals (that's what they call it where I live), but they would have to get the other houses out of their name, and it sounds like the new land is in all their names as well, so I don't know how they do the math. I wish them well with that one.

Honestly, I don't see any other way for this to work actually. He seems to have this down pat. The other polygamist groups out there just simply take what they want and the women basically have to do as they're told and nod with a smile and act like they approve no matter what. These ladies have it really well compared to them.

I think Meri would've gone if it wasn't for the younger kids ! She loves them so much and they obviously love her as well. You can see it if you focus on her, when the whole family is gathered. She always has the youngest around her, sitting on her lab or just being right next to her and having her attention. She needs that and they need it too ! Growing up in such a large family its hard to get the amount of attention you need. So you automatically turn to the person who is the least occupied with the family dealings and thats Meri. I can see a lot of my own aunt in Meri so i know how important it is to have someone like her in your family.

I think the wives have grown up, and grown more independent since the show first aired. Of course this would cause major conflict-when the patriarch of the family hasn’t grown up, and only thinks of his own needs. His gaslighting of everyone around him is just physically exhausting to me.
