Upanishads form the core & heart of Hinduism. Especially the 'Mahavakyas of Upanishads'. Upanishads are the jnana/gyana/knowledge section of the Vedas, embedded in Vedas. If you wish to learn the core theology of Hinduism, then you should read 'Mahavakyas of Upanishads'. This Guy Summarizes Different Hindu Philosophies In one Video... In Hindusism There Are 100s of Different texts(Books) . Each Book Writen By Enlightened Yogi/Saint. It is so Deep, That one can't understand in years. For Example- In some of Vedant text " It is written that You are free to create your own universe ( because universe or Multiverse is Infinite. No origin no emd) . So there Are hundreds Of Different philosopies in Hinduism.

The key words are 'poetic', 'metaphors' & 'symbolism'. Even the topics explained in the video you reacted to is full of symbolism & metaphors so that people find the message simple, easy, attractive & quicker to understand. Brahma represents the creative principle, Vishnu the sustaintive & Shiva the transformative principle where destruction (which gives rise to reformation, reconstruction, regeneration) takes place. Eg- When a river pierces through the mountains it indulges in destruction of some paths & rocks & at the same time giving rise to new paths resulting in reformation, reconstruction & transformation. Though explaining hinduism completely is beyond the scope of this comment cuz of its vast nature & various interpretations by different commentators, I'll tell you the essence briefly. Hinduism is also called as Sanatan Dharma ( eternal truth, way, righteousness ). The core texts of Hinduism are the Vedas, Upanishads & Bhagavad Gita. The Upanishads are especially extremely spiritual & form the central concepts of Hinduism/Sanatan Dharma. The essence of Hinduism/ Sanatan Dharma is as follows- In Sanatan Dharma it is said that aspect of divine is present inside every Man & Woman. This divinity inside each one of us is called as the ATMAN or SELF. This divine self within each one of us is eternal, blissful & conciousness. This divinity within each one of us is our TRUE NATURE. In Sanatan Dharma the Goddess Gayatri is called as Vedamata( mother of the vedas). Saraswati is called as the goddess of knowledge, wisdom, learnining, art, music. In Shaktism tradition of Hinduism Adi Parashakti/Abhaya Shakti/Durga/Kali is considered as the Supreme Being. Shaktas conceive the goddess as the supreme, ultimate, eternal reality of all existence, or same as the Absolute Reality/BrahmAn (not to be confused with the caste Brahmin) concept of Hinduism. She is considered to be simultaneously the source of all creation, its embodiment and the energy that animates and governs it, and that into which everything will ultimately dissolve. Hinduism/ Sanatan Dharma's theology is basically PAN-EN-THEISTIC( which means that the divine is both immanent and transcendent i.e. the whole universe or even multiverses are inside the divine and the divine rises both above the creation and that the divine is inside every being). And the divine is both Nirguna ( without qualities )and Saguna (with qualities). Since the divine is Omnipresent( present everywhere), Omniscient (knows everything), Omnibenevolent( unlimited goodness and kindness), the divine in Hinduism accepts both Nirguna and Saguna worship depending on the nature and liking of the devotee. In Sanatan Dharma the Ardhanarishwara concept dentoes that men and women are equal halves of each other thus promoting gender equality. It has concepts like Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam ( Entire world is a family ) & Prajnanam Brahman( that is knowledge is the supreme/universal self) that's why we should always strive to gain knowledge from across the world. And evil social problems like caste system itself came later due to agrarian nature of the pre industrial society and to transfer knowledge from parents to children as soon as possible to learn skills at that time( since average human life spans were also not large at that time). Caste system has no place in the society especially in the post industrial age society when the life spans have considerably increased and multiple professional options are available that must be made available and accessible to everyone equally and everyone must be given equal opportunities. When the scriptures of Sanatan Dharma are examined, Sruti( that is vedas including the Upanishads that are embedded in Vedas & are highly spiritual) is given more importance than Smriti texts( whenever & wherever contradicton occurs between Sruti and Smriti scripture, it is the Sruti text whose saying is considered correct and final) Since the earliest Sruti text( Rigveda) originally did not contain any verse regarding the Caste system hence Caste systm is NOT an essential or integral part of Hinduism & in fact caste system goes against the universal spirituality & central tenets of Hinduism. Hindu scriptures were written over centuries by different authors hence there are sometimes contradiction between Sruti & Smriti scriptures (and the word of Sruti scriptures is considered correct and final). Bhagavad Gita 5.18 also promotes equality and mentiones to see everyone equally. Similarly evil & reprehensible practises like Sati and Dowry are not present in our oldest vedic(Sruti) scriptures like Rigveda. All these evil practises developed later due to various causes in the society. These evil practises just like the caste system are NOT an essential or integral part of Hinduism in anyway and infact go against the universal spirituality and morals mentioned in Hindu scriptures. The Indian government & various Hindu Reform Movements actively work against these evil social problems. Hindu scriptures tell us to respect women as described in the starting and harming a woman in any way is strictly against the central tenets, morals & spirituality of Hinduism. There are lots of other points but that would make the comment endless. I wrote these points so that you dont get half baked information. There Is On 33(Koti) Gods Koti Means 33 Higl Level Gods But The God Assistant Who Wrote The Sacred Texts Made A Mistake It Wrote Million In Hindu Language(Sanskrit) Instead Of Koti Thats Why The Problem Was Created.
